Arad Destroyed
When the Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the Negev, heard that Israel was coming along the road to Atharim, he attacked the Israelites and captured some of them. 2 Then Israel made this vow to the Lord: “If you will deliver these people into our hands, we will totally destroy their cities.” 3 The Lord listened to Israel’s plea and gave the Canaanites over to them. They completely destroyed them and their towns; so the place was named Hormah.
کنعانیوں سے جنگ
21 عراد کنعانی باد شاہ نیگیوریگستان میں رہتا تھا۔ اس نے سُنا کہ بنی اسرا ئیل اتھا رِم کو جانے وا لی سڑک سے آرہے ہیں۔ اس لئے بادشاہ باہر نکلا اور بنی اسرا ئیلیوں پر حملہ کر دیا۔ اس نے کچھ کو پکڑ لیا اور انہیں قیدی بنا یا۔ 2 تب بنی اسرا ئیلیوں نے خداوند سے خاص وعدہ کیا : “اے خداوند اُن لوگوں کو شکست دینے میں ہما ری مددکر انہیں ہما رے حوالے کر اگر تو ایسا کرے گا تو ہم اُن کے شہروں کو پو ری طرح تباہ کر دیں گے۔”
3 خداوند نے بنی اسرا ئیلیوں کی دُعا سُنی۔ اور خداوند نے بنی اسرا ئیلیوں سے کنعانی لوگوں کو شکست دلوا ئی۔ بنی اسرا ئیلیوں نے کنعانی لوگوں اور اُن کے شہروں کو پوری طرح تباہ کر دیا۔ اس لئے اُس کا نام “حُرمہ ” ( بمعنی ملکمل تباہی ) پڑا۔
My point of view about above verses
When Israel passed from Canaanite King of Arad, they captured them, and Israel made this vow that if Lord deliver these people into our hand then we will destroy their cities and Lord listen to them and Israelites destroy their cities
If we vow before God - and fulfill our vows - Then He listens
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and help us to apply it in our lives
