Numbers 21 ; verse 4-7
The Bronze Snake
4 They traveled from Mount Hor along the route to the Red Sea, to go around Edom. But the people grew impatient on the way; 5 they spoke against God and against Moses, and said, “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no bread! There is no water! And we detest this miserable food!”
6 Then the Lord sent venomous snakes among them; they bit the people and many Israelites died. 7 The people came to Moses and said, “We sinned when we spoke against the Lord and against you. Pray that the Lord will take the snakes away from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.
کانسہ کا سانپ
4 بنی اسرا ئیلیوں نے ہو ر پہا ڑ کو چھو ڑا اور بحر احمر کے کنا رے کنا رے چلے۔ انہوں نے ایسا اس لئے کیا تا کہ وہ ادوم کہے جانے وا لی جگہ کی چاروں طرف جا سکیں۔ لیکن لوگوں کو صبر نہیں تھا۔ جس وقت وہ چل رہے تھے اس وقت وہ لمبے سفر کے خلا ف شکا یت کرنا شروع کئے۔ 5 لوگوں نے خدا اور موسیٰ کے خلاف باتیں کیں۔ لوگوں نے کہا ، “تم ہمیں مصر سے باہر کیوں لا ئے ہو ؟ ہم لوگ یہاں ریگستان میں مر جا ئیں گے۔ یہاں رو ٹی نہیں ملتی۔ یہاں پانی نہیں ہے اور ہم لوگ اس خراب کھانے سے نفرت کرتے ہیں۔”
6 اس لئے خداوندنے لوگوں کے درمیان زہریلے سانپ بھیجے۔ سانپوں نے لوگوں کو ڈسا اور ان میں سے بہت سے لوگ مر گئے
7 لوگ موسیٰ کے پاس آئے اور اس سے کہا ، “ہم جانتے ہیں کہ جب ہم نے خداوند اور تمہارے خلاف شکایت کی تو ہم نے گناہ کیا۔ خداوند سے دعا کرو ان سے کہو اُن سانپوں کو دور کردے۔” اس لئے موسیٰ نے لوگوں کے لئے دعا کی۔
My point of view about above verses
People complained and speak against Moses and God so God send snakes who bit the people and many Israelites died. Then people came to Moses and told that we sinned against you and God – pray to God so he take away these snakes from us and Moses prayed
if we complain God may get angry and result is suffering - so never complain but be thankful as He is our provider and knows exactly what is our real requirements
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and help us to apply it in our lives
