Numbers 22 ; verse 1 -9
Balak Summons Balaam
Then the Israelites traveled to the plains of Moab and camped along the Jordan across from Jericho.
2 Now Balak son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites, 3 and Moab was terrified because there were so many people. Indeed, Moab was filled with dread because of the Israelites. 4 The Moabites said to the elders of Midian, “This horde is going to lick up everything around us, as an ox licks up the grass of the field.”
So Balak son of Zippor, who was king of Moab at that time, 5 sent messengers to summon Balaam son of Beor, who was at Pethor, near the Euphrates River, in his native land. Balak said: “A people has come out of Egypt; they cover the face of the land and have settled next to me. 6 Now come and put a curse on these people, because they are too powerful for me. Perhaps then I will be able to defeat them and drive them out of the land. For I know that whoever you bless is blessed, and whoever you curse is cursed.”
7 The elders of Moab and Midian left, taking with them the fee for divination. When they came to Balaam, they told him what Balak had said. 8 “Spend the night here,” Balaam said to them, “and I will report back to you with the answer the Lord gives me.” So the Moabite officials stayed with him.
9 God came to Balaam and asked, “Who are these men with you?”
بلعام اور موآب کا بادشاہ
22 تب بنی اسرا ئیلیوں نے موآب کے میدان کا سفر کیا۔ انہوں نے یردن ندی کے پار یریحو کے قریب خیمہ ڈا لا۔
2-3 اموری لوگوں کے ساتھ بنی اسرا ئیلیوں نے جو کچھ کیا تھا صفور کے بیٹے بلق نے اسے دیکھا تھا۔ اور مو آب بہت زیادہ ڈراہوا تھا کیوں کہ وہاں اسرائیل کے بہت لوگ تھے۔ موآب بنی اسرا ئیلیوں سے بہت ڈرا ہوا تھا۔
4 موآب کے قائدین نے مدیان کے بزرگوں سے کہا ، “لوگوں کا یہ بڑا گروہ ہمارے چاروں طرف کی تمام چیزوں کو اسی طرح تباہ کر دے گا جیسے کو ئی گا ئے میدان کی گھا س چرجا تی ہے۔” ا س وقت صفور کا بیٹا بلق موآب کا بادشا ہ تھا۔
5 اس نے کچھ آدمیوں کو بعور کے بیٹے بلعام کو بُلا نے کے لئے بھیجا۔ بلعام ندی کے قریب فتور نام کے علا قے میں تھا۔ بلق نے کہا ،
“لوگوں کی ایک نئی قوم مصر سے آئی ہے۔ وہ اتنے زیادہ ہیں کہ پو رے ملک میں پھیل سکتے ہیں۔ انہوں نے ٹھیک ہمارے پاس خیمہ ڈالا ہے۔ 6 آؤ اور میری خاطر ان پر لعنت کرو کیو نکہ وہ ہم سے زیادہ طاقتور ہیں۔ تب میں ا ن لوگوں کو ہر اسکو ں گا اور انہیں ملک سے باہر پھینک دونگا۔ کیونکہ میں جانتا ہوں کہ تم جس کسی کو بھی دعا دو گے وہ برکت و فضل پا ئے گا۔ اور جس کسی کو لعنت دو گے وہ ملعون ہو گا۔”
7 موآب اور مدیان کے بزرگ بلعام سے بات چیت کر نے گئے۔ ان لوگوں نے اس کی خدمت کے لئے اپنے ساتھ رقم اسے دینے کیلئے لے گئے تب ان لوگوں نے اسے وہ سب کچھ بتا یا جو بلق نے کہا تھا۔
8 بلعام نے ان سے کہا ، “یہاں رات میں رکو۔میں خداوند سے باتیں کروں گا۔ اور جو جواب وہ مجھے دیگا وہ تم سے کہوں گا۔ اس لئے اس رات موآبی لوگوں کے قائد اس کے ساتھ ٹھہرے۔
9 خدا بلعام کے پاس آیا اور اس نے پو چھا ، “تمہا رے ساتھ یہ کون لوگ ہیں ؟ ”
My point of view about above verses
God asked Balaam (a non -Israelite prophet) who are these men with you
Not only the kingdom of worlds are in God hands but all the people and He can use anyone as He wants to
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and help us to apply it in our lives
