The Second Census
After the plague the Lord said to Moses and Eleazar son of Aaron, the priest, 2 “Take a census of the whole Israelite community by families—all those twenty years old or more who are able to serve in the army of Israel.”
63 These are the ones counted by Moses and Eleazar the priest when they counted the Israelites on the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho. 64 Not one of them was among those counted by Moses and Aaron the priest when they counted the Israelites in the Desert of Sinai. 65 For the Lord had told those Israelites they would surely die in the wilderness, and not one of them was left except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.
لوگوں کی گنتی
26 بڑ ی بیما ری کے بعد خداوند نے موسیٰ اور ہا رون کے بیٹے کا ہن الیعزر سے باتیں کیں۔ 2 اس نے کہا ، “سبھی بنی اسرا ئیلیوں کو گِنو۔ ہر ایک خاندان کو دیکھو اور بیس سال یا اس سے زیادہ عمر کے ہر ایک مرد کو گِنو۔ یہ وہ مرد ہیں جو اسرا ئیل کی فوج میں خدمت کر نے کے قابل ہیں۔”
63 موسیٰ اور کا ہن الیعزر نے ان تمام لوگوں کو گنا۔ انہوں نے بنی اسرا ئیلیوں کو مو آب کے میدان میں گِنا۔ یہ دریا ئے یردن کے کنا رے یر یحو کے نزدیک تھا۔ 64 بہت زمانہ پہلے موسیٰ اور کا ہن ہا رون نے بنی اسرا ئیلیوں کو سینا ئی کے ریگستان میں گنا تھا۔ لیکن وہ سب مر چکے تھے۔ مو آب کے میدان میں موسیٰ نے جن لوگوں کو گِنا وہ پہلے گنے گئے لوگوں سے مختلف تھے۔ 65 یہ اس لئے ہوا کہ خداوند نے بنی اسرا ئیلیوں سے یہ کہا تھا کہ وہ سبھی ریگستان میں مریں گے۔ صرف دو ہی آدمی زندہ بچے تھے وہ یفُنّہ کا بیٹا کا لب اور نون کا بیٹا یشوع تھے۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses and Eleazer son of Aaron – take a census of Israel for all those 20 years old or more – who are able to serve in army
There were two census one taken by Moses & Aaron when they are in desert of Sinai and second one was taken by Moses & Eleazer the son of Aaron in plains of Moab, In second census no one from first census left except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun as God told that all other will die except these two and children in wilderness and this happened
Everything is in God's hand He can wipe out all people and can bring new if He wants
if we turn away from God's way of life - He got angry - So we have to be on the way described in Word of God to stay blessed, We need to obey Him so that He remains merciful and kind
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and help us to apply it in our lives
