Numbers 30 ; verse 3-5
Vows
3 “When a young woman still living in her father’s household makes a vow to the Lord or obligates herself by a pledge 4 and her father hears about her vow or pledge but says nothing to her, then all her vows and every pledge by which she obligated herself will stand. 5 But if her father forbids her when he hears about it, none of her vows or the pledges by which she obligated herself will stand; the Lord will release her because her father has forbidden her.
3 ہو سکتا ہے کہ ایک نو جوان لڑکی اپنے باپ کے گھر میں رہتی ہو ئی کچھ خاص چیز خداوند کو نذر کرنے کا وعدہ کر تی ہے یا ہو سکتا ہے کچھ نہیں کرنے کا وعدہ کرتی ہے۔ 4 اور اگر اس کا باپ اس وعدہ یا ممانعت کے بارے میں جسے کہ اس نے خود اپنے لئے کی ہے سنتا ہے اور خاموش رہ جا تا ہے تو اس نو جوان لڑ کی کو اس وعدہ کو ضرور پو را کرنا چا ہئے جنکا کہ اس نے خود سے ہی فیصلہ کیا ہے۔ 5 لیکن اگر اس کا باپ اس کے کئے گئے وعدہ یا مما نعت کے بارے میں سن کر اسے قبول نہیں کرتا تو اس نوجوان لڑکی کو وہ وعدہ پو را نہیں کر نا ہے کیونکہ اسکے باپ نے اسے رو کا۔ خداوند اسے معاف کریگا۔
My point of view about above verses
A young woman who lives in her father’s house and make a vow and if her father’s hear that and keeps silent then she has to fulfill her vow. But if her father forbids her then none of her vow will stand and Lord will release her because her father has forbidden her
God wants us to fulfil our vows and offer what we have committed for our vows
These verses shows the importance of father - He is the one who can take decisions for her daughter
Only listening is not which works with God rather to obey what He commanded,
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and help us to apply it in our lives
