Numbers 30 ; verse 6-8
Vows
6 “If she marries after she makes a vow or after her lips utter a rash promise by which she obligates herself 7 and her husband hears about it but says nothing to her, then her vows or the pledges by which she obligated herself will stand. 8 But if her husband forbids her when he hears about it, he nullifies the vow that obligates her or the rash promise by which she obligates herself, and the Lord will release her.
6 “ہو سکتا ہے کو ئی عورت اپنی شا دی سے پہلے خداوند کو کچھ دینے کا کو ئی خاص وعدہ کرتی ہے اور بعد میں ا سکی شادی ہو جا تی ہے۔ 7 اور اگر اس کا شوہر کئے ہو ئے وعدہ یا ممانعت کے متعلق سُنتا ہے اور خاموشی اختیار کر تا ہے تو اس عورت کو اپنے کئے گئے وعدہ کو پو را کرنا چا ہئے۔ 8 لیکن اگر اس کے شوہر اس وعدہ یا ممانعت کے با رے میں سُنتا ہے اور اسے قبول نہیں کرتا تو عورت کو اپنے کئے گئے وعدہ کو پو را نہیں کرنا پڑیگا۔ اس کے شوہر نے اس کا وعدہ توڑ دیا اور اس نے اس کی کہی ہو ئی بات کو پو را نہیں کرنے دیا۔ خداوند اسے معاف کرے گا۔
My point of view about above verses
A young woman after her marriage makes a vow and if her husband hears that and keeps silent then she has to fulfill her vow. But if her husband forbids her then none of her obligations will stand and Lord will release her because her husband has forbidden her or nullifies the vow
God wants us to fulfil our vows and offer what we have committed for our vows
These verses shows the importance of husbands like fathers - He like fathers can stop her wife to not take a vow.
Only listening is not which works with God rather to obey what He commanded,
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and help us to apply it in our lives
