Numbers 31 ; verse 25-31
Dividing the Spoils
25 The Lord said to Moses, 26 “You and Eleazar the priest and the family heads of the community are to count all the people and animals that were captured. 27 Divide the spoils equally between the soldiers who took part in the battle and the rest of the community. 28 From the soldiers who fought in the battle, set apart as tribute for the Lord one out of every five hundred, whether people, cattle, donkeys or sheep. 29 Take this tribute from their half share and give it to Eleazar the priest as the Lord’s part. 30 From the Israelites’ half, select one out of every fifty, whether people, cattle, donkeys, sheep or other animals. Give them to the Levites, who are responsible for the care of the Lord’s tabernacle.” 31 So Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the Lord commanded Moses.
25 اس کے بعد تم خیمہ میں آ سکتے ہو۔ تب خداوند نے موسیٰ سے کہا۔ 26 “تمہیں ، کا ہن الیعزر اور تمام قا ئدین کو چا ہئے کہ تم ان قیدیوں ، جانوروں اور سبھی چیزوں کو گِنو جنہیں سپا ہی جنگ سے لا ئے ہیں 27 ا ن چیزوں کا آدھا حصہ جنگ میں حصّہ لے نے وا لے سپا ہیوں کے بیچ اور باقی آدھا حصّہ اسرا ئیل کی جماعت میں بانٹ دو۔ 28 جو سپا ہی جنگ میں حصّہ لینے گئے تھے۔ ان سے خداوند کے لئے تحفہ لو۔ ہر پانچ سو چیزوں میں سے ایک خداوند کا حصّہ ہو گا۔ اس میں آدمی مویشی گدھے ، اور مینڈھے شامل ہیں۔ 29 سپا ہیوں سے مال غنیمت کی چیزوں میں سے آدھا لو اور انہیں کا ہن الیعزر کو خداوند کے لئے نذرانہ دو۔ 30 اور پھر لوگوں کی باقی بچی آ دھی چیزوں میں سے ہر پچاس چیزوں میں سے ایک چیز لو۔ اس میں آدمی ، مویشی ، گدھا ، مینڈھا یا کئی دوسرے جانور بھی شامل ہیں۔ یہ حصّہ لا وی نسلوں کو دو کیوں کہ لا وی نسل خداوند کے مقدس خیمہ کی دیکھ بھال کرتے ہیں۔”31 اس طرح موسیٰ اور کاہن الیعزر نے وہی کیا جو خداوند نے موسیٰ کو حکم دیا تھا۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses take revenge from Midianites for Israelites and after that you will be gathered to your people
Midianites are ancient desert people of northwest Arabia near the Gulf of Aqaba - God told to kill all of them including women, children and livestock
God told Moses and Eleazar the priest how to divide the people, cattle, donkeys or sheep captured during the battle with Midianites. Divide the spoils equally between the soldiers who took part in battle and rest of community. From soldiers share keep one out of every 500 from people and cattle – give to priest Eleazar as Lord’s part. From community part select one out of every 50 from people and animals and give them to Levites – who are taking care of tabernacle- so Moses and Eleazer priest did as Lord commanded
Only listening is not which works with God rather to obey what He commands,
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and help us to apply it in our lives
