Deuteronomy 7 ; verse 22-26
22 The Lord your God will drive out those nations before you, little by little. You will not be allowed to eliminate them all at once, or the wild animals will multiply around you. 23 But the Lord your God will deliver them over to you, throwing them into great confusion until they are destroyed. 24 He will give their kings into your hand, and you will wipe out their names from under heaven. No one will be able to stand up against you; you will destroy them. 25 The images of their gods you are to burn in the fire. Do not covet the silver and gold on them, and do not take it for yourselves, or you will be ensnared by it, for it is detestable to the Lord your God. 26 Do not bring a detestable thing into your house or you, like it, will be set apart for destruction. Regard it as vile and utterly detest it, for it is set apart for destruction.
22 خداوند تمہا را خدا ا ن قو موں کو تمہا را ملک دھیرے دھیرے کر کے چھو ڑنے پر دباؤ ڈا لے گا تم ایک ہی بار ان سب کو تباہ نہیں کر سکو گے۔ اگر تم ایسا کرو گے تو جنگلی جانوروں کی تعداد تمہا رے مقابلے میں زیادہ ہو جا ئے گی۔ 23 لیکن خداوند تمہا را خدا ان قوموں کو تمہا رے حوا لے کر دے گا۔ خداوند ان کو جنگ میں پریشان کر دے گا جب تک وہ تباہ نہیں ہو تے۔ 24 خداوند ان کے بادشا ہوں کو شکست دینے میں تمہا ری مدد کرے گا تم انہیں ما ر ڈا لو گے اور دُنیا بھو ل جا ئے گی کہ وہ کبھی تھے۔ کو ئی بھی تم لوگوں کو نہیں رو ک سکے گا۔ تم ان تمام کو تباہ کرو گے۔
25 “تمہیں ان کے دیوتاؤں کی مورتیوں کو جلا دینا چا ہئے تمہیں ان کی مورتیوں پر مڑھے سونے یا چاندی کو لینے
کی خواہش نہیں رکھنی چا ہئے تمہیں اس سونے اور چاندی کو اپنے لئے نہیں لینا چا ہئے۔ یہ تمہا رے لئے پھندا ہو گا۔ کیوں کہ خداوند تمہا را خدا اُن مورتیوں سے نفرت کر تا ہے۔ 26 اور تمہیں اپنے گھر میں ان نفرت انگیز مورتیوں میں سے کسی کو بھی نہیں لانا چا ہئے۔ اگر تم ان مورتیوں کو اپنے گھر میں لا تے ہو تو تم مورتیوں کی طرح تباہ ہو جا ؤگے۔ تمہیں ان مورتیوں سے نفرت کرنی چا ہئے تمہیں اُن سے بے حد نفرت کرنی چا ہئے۔ تمہیں ان مورتیوں کو تباہ کر دینا چا ہئے
My point of view about above verses
God will keep his covenant of love with you as he swore to your ancestors if you follow His laws carefully – You may say that these are very stronger nations how we may drive them out, but don’t fear and remember that how your God treated Pharaoh and all Egypt. You have seen sign and wonders that how he brought you out. The Lord your God will do the same thing to the people you fear now.
Your God will not destroy them at once but he will drive them out little by little or wild animals will multiply around you. Your God will throw them into great confusion, he will give their kings into your hand and you will wipe out their names under heaven- No one will stand up against you, you will destroy them – you have to burn the images of their gods – don’t bring a detestable thing into your house – detest it as it is part of destruction
If we remain faithful to God, He will never abandons us rather bless us with health and worldly blessings
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and apply it in our lives - As this is the Word of God through which we recognize Him
