Deuteronomy 17 ; verse 8-13
Law Courts
8 If cases come before your courts that are too difficult for you to judge—whether bloodshed, lawsuits or assaults—take them to the place the Lord your God will choose. 9 Go to the Levitical priests and to the judge who is in office at that time. Inquire of them and they will give you the verdict. 10 You must act according to the decisions they give you at the place the Lord will choose. Be careful to do everything they instruct you to do. 11 Act according to whatever they teach you and the decisions they give you. Do not turn aside from what they tell you, to the right or to the left. 12 Anyone who shows contempt for the judge or for the priest who stands ministering there to the Lord your God is to be put to death. You must purge the evil from Israel. 13 All the people will hear and be afraid, and will not be contemptuous again.
8 “ہو سکتا ہے مقامی عدالت میں کو ئی ایسا مقدمہ آئے جو ایسا سخت ہو کہ فیصلہ نہ کیا جا سکے۔ یہ قتل کا مقدمہ ، نالش کا مقدمہ یا حملہ کرنے کا مقدمہ ہو سکتا ہے۔ ان مقدموں کو خداوند اپنے خدا کے چُنی ہو ئی خاص جگہ پر لے جا ؤ۔ 9 تمہیں لا وی خاندانی گروہ کے کا ہنوں اور اس کے منصف کے پاس جانا چا ہئے۔ وہ لوگ ان مقدموں کا فیصلہ کریں گے۔ 10 خداوند کی خاص جگہ پر وہ اپنا فیصلہ تمہیں سنا ئیں گے۔ جو بھی وہ کہیں اسے تمہیں ہو شیاری سے کرنا چا ہئے۔ 11 تمہیں ان کے فیصلے قبول کرنے چا ہئے اور اُن کی ہدایت کی ٹھیک ٹھیک تعمیل کرنی چا ہئے تمہیں اُن کے خلا ف کچھ بھی نہیں کرنا چا ہئے جو وہ تمہیں کرنے کو کہتے ہیں۔
12 “تمہیں کسی بھی اس شخص کو سزا ضرور دینی چا ہئے جو کھّلم کھّلا منصف یا اس کاہن کا جو اس وقت خداوندتمہا رے خدا کی خدمت کرتا تھا نا فرمانی کرتا ہے اس شخص کو مار ڈالنا چا ہئے۔ تمہیں اسرا ئیل سے اُس طرح کے بُرے آدمی کو ہٹا دینا چا ہئے۔ 3 سبھی لوگ اس سزاکے بارے میں سنیں گے اور ڈریں گے اور پھر وہ لوگ ضّدی نہیں ہو ں گے۔
My point of view about above verses
When cases come to you for decisions, which are difficult to decide, take them to Levitical priests and to the judges who is in office at that time – Ask them and they will give you the verdict, Act on the decisions as its binding – Any one who shows contempt for the judge or priest who is ministering before the Lord is to be put to death. By this way you will eliminate evil from the Israelites. By this way you will set example and people will be afraid and will not be disrespectful
God does not want that His people be corrupted with evil practices so He orders to put them to death and thus eliminate evil within us so that we can reap the blessings abundantly
If we remain faithful to God, He will never abandons us rather bless us with health and worldly blessings
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and apply it in our lives - As this is the Word of God through which we recognize Him
