Deuteronomy 23 ; verse 21-23
Miscellaneous Laws
21 If you make a vow to the Lord your God, do not be slow to pay it, for the Lord your God will certainly demand it of you and you will be guilty of sin. 22 But if you refrain from making a vow, you will not be guilty. 23 Whatever your lips utter you must be sure to do, because you made your vow freely to the Lord your God with your own mouth.
21 “جب بھی تم خداوند اپنے خدا سے وعدہ کرو تو تم اسے پو را کرنے میں دیر نہ کرو۔ کیو نکہ خداوند چاہتا ہے کہ تم اسے پو را کرو۔اگر تم وعدہ کی ہو ئی چیز وں کو نہیں دو گے تو تم گناہ کے مرتکب ہو گے۔ 22 اگر تم وعدہ نہیں کرتے ہو تو تم گناہ نہیں کر رہے ہو۔ 23 لیکن تمہیں وہ چیزیں کرنی چا ہئے جسے کرنے کے لئے تم نے کہا ہے کہ تم کرو گے۔ جب تم خدا سے خاص وعدہ کرو تو تمہیں وعدہ کی ہو ئی بات کو پو ری کرنی چا ہئے
My point of view about above verses
If you make a vow to your God – don’t be slow to fulfill it – otherwise you will be guilty of sin
God is upright and He wants us to be upright and have integrity in our dealings towards Him and our fellow beings
This is our God - so we should behave
-These are the orders given by God for our ultimate good and we all have to follow
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives
