Deuteronomy 25 ; verse 7-10
7 However, if a man does not want to marry his brother’s wife, she shall go to the elders at the town gate and say, “My husband’s brother refuses to carry on his brother’s name in Israel. He will not fulfill the duty of a brother-in-law to me.” 8 Then the elders of his town shall summon him and talk to him. If he persists in saying, “I do not want to marry her,” 9 his brother’s widow shall go up to him in the presence of the elders, take off one of his sandals, spit in his face and say, “This is what is done to the man who will not build up his brother’s family line.” 10 That man’s line shall be known in Israel as The Family of the Unsaddled.
7 اگر وہ آدمی اپنے بھا ئی کی بیوی کو اپنانا نہیں چاہتا، ’تب بھا ئی کی بیوی کو بیٹھک کی جگہ پر شہر کے قائدین کے پاس جانا چا ہئے بھا ئی کی بیوی کو شہر کے قائدین سے کہنا چا ہئے۔ میرے شوہر کا بھا ئی اسرا ئیل میں اپنے بھا ئی کانام بنا ئے رکھنے سے انکار کرتا ہے۔ وہ میرے ساتھ اپنے بھا ئی کے فرض کو پو را نہیں کرے گا۔‘ 8 تب شہرکے قائدین کو اس آدمی کو بلانا چا ہئے اور اس سے بات کرنی چا ہئے اگر وہ آدمی ضدّی ہے اور کہتا ہے، ’میں ا س سے شادی نہیں کرنا چاہتا ، ’ 9 تب اس کے بھا ئی کی بیوی شہر کے قائدین کے سامنے اس کے پاس آئے اس کے پیر سے اس کے جوتے نکالے اور اس کے مُنہ پر تھو کے۔ اسے کہنا چا ہئے، ’یہ اس آدمی کے ساتھ کیا جا تا ہے جو اپنے بھا ئی کا خاندان بسانا نہیں چا ہتا ہے !‘ 10 تب اس بھا ئی کا خاندان اسرائیلیوں میں اس آدمی کا خاندان کہلا ئیگا ’ جسکی جو تی اُتاری گئی تھی۔‘
My point of view about above verses
If brothers are living together and one of them dies without a son – then his widow must not marry outside family – the other brother should marry her – the first son born from them shall carry the name of dead brother so that his name will not wipe out from Israel
If a man does not want to marry his brothers wife- then she should go to elders and the elders should summon the brother – and if he still refuses then the she should spit on his face and off his sandals in presence of the elders- This has to be done to a person who is not willing to build up his brother’s family line- That man’s line shall be known in Israel as the family of the Unsaddled
God wants us to take care of our names to be preserved in world, so we need to live as per His requirements as in the long run - it is in benefit of human beings
Our God want us to spend a joyful life on earth, only we need to follow what He says and believe me there is happiness around us - Righteous acts brings happiness for us - Lets do and enjoy life
-These are the orders given by God for our ultimate good and we all have to follow
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives
