Deuteronomy 28 ; verse 8-14
Blessings for Obedience
8 The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.
9 The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him. 10 Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they will fear you. 11 The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you.
12 The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. 13 The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. 14 Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.
8 “خداوند تمہا رے گوداموں میں اور تمام کامو ں میں برکت دیگا جسے تم اِس زمین میں کرو گے جو وہ تم کو دیا ہے۔ 9 خداوند تمہیں اپنا خاص لوگ بنا ئے گا۔ جیسا کہ خداوند نے تم سے یہ وعدہ کیا ہے خداوند یہ کرے گا اگر تم اس کے احکام کو مانو اور اس کی اطاعت کرو۔ 10 تب زمین کے تمام لوگ دیکھیں گے کہ تم خداوند کے نام سے جانے جا تے ہو اور تم سے خوفزدہ رہیں گے۔
11 “اور خداوند تمہیں بہت سی اچھی چیزیں دے گا۔ وہ تمہیں بہت سے بچے دے گا۔ وہ تمہیں گائے اور بہت بچھڑے دے گا۔ وہ اس ملک میں بہت اچھی فصل دے گا جسے خداوند نے تمہا رے آ باء واجداد کو دینے کا وعدہ کیا تھا۔ 12 خداوند اپنے خزانے کو کھو ل دے گا جن میں وہ اپنا قیمتی تحفہ رکھتا ہے اور تمہا ری زمین کے لئے ٹھیک وقت پر بارش برسائے گا۔ جو کچھ بھی تم کرو گے خداونداس میں برکت دے گا اور بہت سی قوموں کو قرض دینے کیلئے تمہا رے پاس دولت ہو گی۔ لیکن تمہیں ان لوگوں سے قرض لینے کی ضرورت نہ ہو گی
13 خداوند تمہیں سربنا ئے گا دُم نہیں۔ تم ہمیشہ چوٹی پر رہو گے دامن میں کبھی نہیں۔ یہ اس وقت ہو گا جب تم خداوند اپنے خدا کے احکام کو مانو گے جنہیں میں آج تمہیں دے رہا ہوں۔ 14 تمہیں ان تعلیما ت میں سے کسی کی خلاف ورزی نہیں کرنی چا ہئے جسے میں آج تمہیں دے رہا ہوں تمہیں ان میں سے دائیں یا بائیں طرف نہیں جانا چا ہئے تمہیں عبادت کے لئے دوسرے دیوتاؤں کی عبادت نہیں کرنی چا ہئے۔
My point of view about above verses
God told when you entered the land I promised to give you and have crossed Jordan – set up some large stones on Mount Ebal and coat them with plaster and write on them all the words of this law –
God want us that His laws and decrees which He gave should be before our eyes all the time so that we are inclined to implement to live a happy and joyful life
Following blessings and curses has to be pronounced from Mount Gerizim and Mount Ebal respectively – by Israelites tribes
God told about blessings if you obey your Lord – and God will set you high above all nations on earth – His blessings are as follows; you will be blessed people, your produce will be blessed,you will have plenty to eat and your enemies will flee from you, you will be God's holy people, people will fear you, your enemies will flee fom you, Lord will open heavens for you, you will be head not the tail -
As people of God we have to be resposible for our actions - if we obey His commandments, there are blessings for us - otherwise curses
Our God wants us to spend a joyful life on earth, only we need to follow what He says and believe me there is happiness around us - Righteous acts brings happiness for us - Lets do and enjoy life
-These are the orders given by God for our ultimate good and we all have to follow
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives
