Deuteronomy 28 ; verse 15- 19
Curses for Disobedience
If you will not obey the commands God has given you – following curses will be on you;
15 However, if you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come on you and overtake you:
16 You will be cursed in the city and cursed in the country.
17 Your basket and your kneading trough will be cursed.
18 The fruit of your womb will be cursed, and the crops of your land, and the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.
19 You will be cursed when you come in and cursed when you go out.
شریعت کی تعمیل نہ کرنے پر لعنت
15 “لیکن اگر تم خداوند اپنے خدا کی کہی گئی باتوں پر دھیان نہیں دیتے اور آج میں جن احکام اور قانون کو بتا رہا ہوں اس پر عمل نہیں کر تے یہ سبھی بُری آفتیں تم پر آ ئیں گی :
16 “تم پر شہروں میں اور کھیتوں میں
لعنت ہو گی۔
17 تمہا ری ٹوکری اور کڑھائی پر لعنت ہو گی اور تم اس میں غذا نہیں پا ؤ گے۔
18 تمہا رے بچوں پر، تمہا ری زمین کی فصلیں ، تمہا رے مویشیوں کے بچھڑے
اور تمہا رے بھیڑوں کے بچوں پرلعنت ہو گی۔
19 ہر وقت تم پر لعنت آ ئے گی اور ہر چیز جو تم کرو گے اس میں برکت نہ ہو گی۔
My point of view about above verses
God told when you entered the land I promised to give you and have crossed Jordan – set up some large stones on Mount Ebal and coat them with plaster and write on them all the words of this law –
God want us that His laws and decrees which He gave should be before our eyes all the time so that we are inclined to implement to live a happy and joyful life
Following blessings and curses has to be pronounced from Mount Gerizim and Mount Ebal respectively – by Israelites tribes
God told about curses if you not obey your Lord – you will be cursed in country and city, your produce will be cursed, fruit of your womb will bear the curse, your sheep and cattle will be cursed, your crops will be cursed, your time will be cursed -
How terrible it is for mankind to stand against God, their days and nights will be cursed
As people of God we have to be resposible for our actions - if we obey His commandments, there are blessings for us - otherwise curses
Our God wants us to spend a joyful life on earth, only we need to follow what He says and believe me there is happiness around us - Righteous acts brings happiness for us - Lets do and enjoy life
-These are the orders given by God for our ultimate good and we all have to follow
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives
