Deuteronomy 28 ; verse 49-52
Curses for Disobedience
49 The Lord will bring a nation against you from far away, from the ends of the earth, like an eagle swooping down, a nation whose language you will not understand, 50 a fierce-looking nation without respect for the old or pity for the young. 51 They will devour the young of your livestock and the crops of your land until you are destroyed. They will leave you no grain, new wine or olive oil, nor any calves of your herds or lambs of your flocks until you are ruined. 52 They will lay siege to all the cities throughout your land until the high fortified walls in which you trust fall down. They will besiege all the cities throughout the land the Lord your God is giving you.
دُشمن قوم کی بد دُعا
49 “خداوند تمہا رے خلاف بہت دور سے ایک قوم کو لا ئے گا یہ قو م زمین کے ایک کنارے سے آئے گی۔ یہ قوم تم پر آسمان سے اُترتے عقاب کی طرح جلدی سے حملے کرے گی۔ تم اس قوم کی زبان نہیں سمجھو گے۔ 50 اس قوم کے لوگوں کے چہرے خوفناک ہو ں گے وہ بوڑھے لوگوں کی بھی پرواہ نہیں کریں گے وہ چھو ٹے بچوں پر بھی رحم د ل نہیں ہوں گے۔ 51 وہ تمہا رے مویشیوں کے بچھڑے اور تمہا ری زمین کی فصل اس وقت تک کھا ئیں گے جب تک تم تباہ نہیں ہو جا ؤ گے۔ وہ تمہا رے لئے اناج نئی مئے ، تیل ، تمہا رے مویشیوں کے بچھڑے اور تمہا رے بھیڑوں کے بچے نہیں چھوڑیں گے۔ وہ یہ اس وقت تک کرتے رہیں گے جب تک تم تباہ نہیں ہو جا ؤ گے۔
2 “یہ قوم تمہا رے سبھی شہروں کو گھیر لے گی تم اپنے شہروں کے چاروں طرف اونچی اور مضبوط دیواروں پر بھروسہ رکھتے ہو۔ لیکن تمہا رے ملک میں یہ دیواریں آسانی سے گر جا ئیں گی ہاں ! وہ قوم تمہا رے اس ملک کے تمام شہروں پر حملہ کرے گی جسے خداوند تمہا را خدا تمہیں دے رہا ہے۔
My point of view about above verses
God told when you entered the land I promised to give you and have crossed Jordan – set up some large stones on Mount Ebal and coat them with plaster and write on them all the words of this law –
God want us that His laws and decrees which He gave should be before our eyes all the time so that we are inclined to implement to live a happy and joyful life
Following blessings and curses has to be pronounced from Mount Gerizim and Mount Ebal respectively – by Israelites tribes
God told about curses if you do not obey your Lord – a strong nation will come from far to besige your cities and devour your crops and live stock, you will have no new grain, and vine and olives, you will be ruined completely by that nation.
So if people are in trouble in their own land and their enemies are invading them - it means they are not listening / obeying God and in turn suffering as a punishment from God
How terrible it is for mankind to stand against God, their days and nights will be cursed and everything will be cursed whatever they are doing
As people of God we have to be resposible for our actions - if we obey His commandments, there are blessings for us - otherwise curses
Our God wants us to spend a joyful life on earth, only we need to follow what He says and believe me there is happiness around us - Righteous acts brings happiness for us - Lets do and enjoy life
-These are the orders given by God for our ultimate good and we all have to follow
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives
