Deuteronomy 31 ; verse 30 & Chapter 32 Verse 1 till 38
The Song of Moses
30 And Moses recited the words of this song from beginning to end in the hearing of the whole assembly of Israel:
Deuteronomy 32
Listen, you heavens, and I will speak;
hear, you earth, the words of my mouth.
2 Let my teaching fall like rain
and my words descend like dew,
like showers on new grass,
like abundant rain on tender plants.
3 I will proclaim the name of the Lord.
Oh, praise the greatness of our God!
4 He is the Rock, his works are perfect,
and all his ways are just.
A faithful God who does no wrong,
upright and just is he.
5 They are corrupt and not his children;
to their shame they are a warped and crooked generation.
6 Is this the way you repay the Lord,
you foolish and unwise people?
Is he not your Father, your Creator,
who made you and formed you?
7 Remember the days of old;
consider the generations long past.
Ask your father and he will tell you,
your elders, and they will explain to you.
8 When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance,
when he divided all mankind,
he set up boundaries for the peoples
according to the number of the sons of Israel.
9 For the Lord’s portion is his people,
Jacob his allotted inheritance.
10 In a desert land he found him,
in a barren and howling waste.
He shielded him and cared for him;
he guarded him as the apple of his eye,
11 like an eagle that stirs up its nest
and hovers over its young,
that spreads its wings to catch them
and carries them aloft.
12 The Lord alone led him;
no foreign god was with him.
13 He made him ride on the heights of the land
and fed him with the fruit of the fields.
He nourished him with honey from the rock,
and with oil from the flinty crag,
14 with curds and milk from herd and flock
and with fattened lambs and goats,
with choice rams of Bashan
and the finest kernels of wheat.
You drank the foaming blood of the grape.
15 Jeshurun grew fat and kicked;
filled with food, they became heavy and sleek.
They abandoned the God who made them
and rejected the Rock their Savior.
16 They made him jealous with their foreign gods
and angered him with their detestable idols.
17 They sacrificed to false gods, which are not God—
gods they had not known,
gods that recently appeared,
gods your ancestors did not fear.
18 You deserted the Rock, who fathered you;
you forgot the God who gave you birth.
19 The Lord saw this and rejected them
because he was angered by his sons and daughters.
20 “I will hide my face from them,” he said,
“and see what their end will be;
for they are a perverse generation,
children who are unfaithful.
21 They made me jealous by what is no god
and angered me with their worthless idols.
I will make them envious by those who are not a people;
I will make them angry by a nation that has no understanding.
22 For a fire will be kindled by my wrath,
one that burns down to the realm of the dead below.
It will devour the earth and its harvests
and set afire the foundations of the mountains.
23 “I will heap calamities on them
and spend my arrows against them.
24 I will send wasting famine against them,
consuming pestilence and deadly plague;
I will send against them the fangs of wild beasts,
the venom of vipers that glide in the dust.
25 In the street the sword will make them childless;
in their homes terror will reign.
The young men and young women will perish,
the infants and those with gray hair.
26 I said I would scatter them
and erase their name from human memory,
27 but I dreaded the taunt of the enemy,
lest the adversary misunderstand
and say, ‘Our hand has triumphed;
the Lord has not done all this.’”
28 They are a nation without sense,
there is no discernment in them.
29 If only they were wise and would understand this
and discern what their end will be!
30 How could one man chase a thousand,
or two put ten thousand to flight,
unless their Rock had sold them,
unless the Lord had given them up?
31 For their rock is not like our Rock,
as even our enemies concede.
32 Their vine comes from the vine of Sodom
and from the fields of Gomorrah.
Their grapes are filled with poison,
and their clusters with bitterness.
33 Their wine is the venom of serpents,
the deadly poison of cobras.
34 “Have I not kept this in reserve
and sealed it in my vaults?
35 It is mine to avenge; I will repay.
In due time their foot will slip;
their day of disaster is near
and their doom rushes upon them.”
36 The Lord will vindicate his people
and relent concerning his servants
when he sees their strength is gone
and no one is left, slave or free.
37 He will say: “Now where are their gods,
the rock they took refuge in,
38 the gods who ate the fat of their sacrifices
and drank the wine of their drink offerings?
Let them rise up to help you!
Let them give you shelter!
موسیٰ کا گیت
30 تب موسیٰ نےسبھی بنی اسرائیلیوں کو یہ گیت سنا یا وہ تب تک نہیں رکا جب تک اس نے اسے پو را نہ کر لیا۔
32 “اے آسمان ! سُن میں کہوں گا
زمین میرے مُنہ سے بات سنے۔
2 میری تعلیما ت اس طرح آئیں گی جیسے بارش زمین پر ہو تی ہے ،
میرا کلام شبنم کی طرح ٹپکے گا ،
گھاس پر پانی کی بوچھار کی طرح ،
درختوں پر پانی کی بوچھار کی طرح پڑیگی۔
3 میں خداوند کے نام کا اعلان کروں گا۔ میں اپنے خدا کی عظمت کی تعریف کرو ں گا۔
4 “وہ ( خداوند) ہماری چٹان ہے
اس کے تمام کام کا مل ہیں۔
کیوں کہ اس کے تمام راستے سچ ہیں!
وہ بُرائی نہیں کرتاہے۔
خدا اچھا اور وفادار ہے۔
5 اور تم اس کے حقیقی بچے نہیں ہو
تمہا رے گناہ اسکو گندہ کرتے ہیں
تم ایک فاسق جھو ٹے ہو۔
6 کیا تمہیں وہ خداوند کو اسی طرح سے واپس کرنے کی ضرورت ہے ؟
نہیں! تم بے وقوف ہو،
احمق لو گ خداوند تمہا را باپ ہے اس نے تمہیں بنا یا
وہ تمہا را خالق ہے وہ تمہا ری مدد کرتا ہے۔
7 “یا دکرو گذرے ہو ئے دنوں کی
گذری ہوئی نسلوں کو سوچو جو حادثات ہو ئے کئی کئی سال پہلے
اپنے باپ سے پو چھو وہ تم سے کہے گا
تم اپنے قائدین سے پو چھو وہ تمہیں کہیں گے۔
8 خدائے تعالیٰ نے زمین پر
لوگوں کو بانٹ دیا۔
خدا نے لوگوں کے لئے
فرشتوں کی تعداد کے مطابق سرحدیں مقرر کیں۔
9 خداوند کی وراثت ہے
اس کے لوگ یعقوب ( اسرائیل ) خداوند کا اپنا ہے۔
10 “خداوند نے یعقوب ( اسرائیل ) کو ریگستان میں پایا
جو خالی زمین تھی۔
خداوند یعقوب کو گھیرے میں رکھا اور اس کی حفاظت کی۔
خداوند نے اس کی ایسی حفاظت کی جیسے وہ آنکھ کی پتلی ہے۔
11 خداوند ایک عقاب کی مانند ہے جو کہ اپنا پرپھیلا تا ہے اور اپنے بچوں کو گھونسلے میں اُڑنا سکھا تا ہے۔
وہ اپنے بچوں کے ساتھ انکی حفاظت کے لئے اُڑتا ہے۔
جب وہ گرنے وا لا ہو تا ہے تو وہ انہیں بچا نے کے لئے اپنا پر پھیلا دیتی ہے
اور انہیں محفوظ جگہ میں لے آتی ہے۔
12 “خداوند نے اکیلا یعقوب کی رہنما ئی کی
کسی اجنبی دیوتا نے اس کی مدد نہ کی۔
13 خداوند نے یعقوب کوزمین کی اونچی جگہوں پر چڑھا یا
یعقوب نے کھیتو ں کی فصلیں کھا ئیں۔
خداوند نے یعقوب کو چٹان سے شہد دیا۔
وہ سخت چٹان سے بہتا ہوا زیتون کا تیل بنا یا۔
14 خداوند نے اسرائیل کو ریوڑسے دودھ،
موٹے میمنے ، بکرے
اور بسن سے بہترین مینڈھا اور بہترین گیہوں دیئے۔
تم لال انگور سے بنی مئے پی۔
15 “لیکن یشورون موٹا ہوا اور سانڈ کی طرح لا ت ما را۔
( ہاں تم لوگ اچھی غذا پا ئے اور تم لوگ پو ری طرح مو ٹے ہو ئے !)
پھر وہ خدا کو چھو ڑا جس نے انہیں بنا یا!
اس نے اس چٹان کی رسوائی کی جس نے انہیں بچا یا۔
16 خداوند کے لوگوں نے اس کو غیرت مند بنایا اوروں کی پرستش کر کے
انہوں نے اُن وحشتناک بُتوں کی عبادت کی جس سے خدا غصّہ ہوا۔
17 انہوں نے بدروحوں کے لئے قربانیاں پیش کیں جو حقیقی خدا نہ تھے۔
وہ نئے دیوتا تھے جسے وہ لوگ نہیں جانتے تھے۔
18 تم نے چٹان (خدا ) کو چھو ڑا جس نے تمہیں پیدا کیا۔
تم خدا کو بھو ل گئے جس نے تمہیں زندگی دی۔
19 “خداوند نے یہ دیکھا اور پریشان ہوا
اس کے لڑکے اور لڑکیوں نے اس کو غصّہ میں لا یا۔
20 اس لئے خداوند نے کہا ،
’میں اُن سے مُنہ موڑ لوں گا
تب میں دیکھوں گا کہ انکا کیا انجام ہو تا ہے۔
کیو نکہ وہ باغی نسل کے لوگ ہیں
انکی اولا د بے وفا ہے۔
21 انہوں نے مجھ کو دیوتاؤں سے غیرت مند بنا یا جو خدا نہیں ہیں۔
انہوں نے مجھ کو اُن بے کا ر بتوں سے غصّہ میں لا ئے۔
اس لئے میں ان کو لوگوں سے حاسد بنا ؤں گا جو حقیقی قوم نہیں ہیں۔
میں ان لوگوں پر ان لوگوں کے ذریعہ غصّہ دلا ؤں گا جو کہ بے وقوف قوم ہیں۔
22 میرا غصّہ آ گ کی طرح جلے گا
میرا غصّہ قبر کی گہرائیوں تک جل رہا ہو گا۔
یہ غصّہ زمین کو اس کی پیداوارسمیت جلا دیگا
اور یہ پہا ڑوں کی بنیادوں میں آ گ لگا دیگی۔
23 “’میں اسرائیلیوں کیلئے آفتیں لا ؤں گا۔
اور میں اپنے سارے تیر اُن پر چلاؤں گا۔
24 وہ بھوک سے دُبلے ہو جا ئیں گے۔
بھیانک بیماریاں انہیں تباہ کریں گی۔
میں ان کے خلا ف جنگلی جانوروں کو بھیجوں گا۔
زہریلے سانپ اور زہریلی چھپکلیاں انہیں کا ٹیں گی۔
5 گلیوں میں سپا ہی انہیں ماریں گے۔
ان کے مکانوں میں خوفناک چیزیں ہو گی۔
سپا ہی نوجوانوں مردو ں اور عورتوں کو قتل کریں گے۔
وہ سب کو بچوں سے لے کر بوڑھوں تک کو قتل کریں گے۔
26 میں نے ان لوگوں کو تباہ کرنے کے بار ے میں سوچا۔
اس طرح سے لوگ انہیں پو ری طرح سے بھول جا ئیں گے۔
27 لیکن میں جانتا ہوں ان کے دشمن کیا کہیں گے۔
انکے دشمن سمجھ نہیں سکیں گے۔
لیکن وہ لوگ شیخی بگھا ریں گے اور کہیں گے
اس میں سے کچھ بھی خداوند نے نہیں بنا یا تھا۔
ہم لوگوں نے اپنے بل بوتے پر اسے حاصل کیا ہے۔”‘
8 “وہ لوگ بے وقوف ہیں
وہ کچھ بھی نہیں سمجھتے ہیں۔
29 اگر دشمن سمجھدار ہو تے
تو اسے سمجھ پا تے
اور مستقبل میں اپنا انجام دیکھتے۔
30 کیا ایک آدمی ۱۰۰۰ آدمیوں کا تعاقب کر سکتا ہے ؟
کیا یہ دو آدمی ۰۰۰,۱۰ آدمیوں کو بھگا سکتے ہیں ؟
ایسا تب ہی ممکن ہے جب ان کا چٹان
ان کے دُشمنوں کو اُن کے حوا لے کردے۔
اور خداوند انہیں چھو ڑ دے۔
31 ان کا ’چٹان ‘ہمارے چٹان کی طرح نہیں ہے۔
حتیٰ کے ہمارے دشمن بھی اس سچا ئی کو دیکھ سکتے ہیں۔
32 ان کے انگور اور کھیت سدُوم اور عمورہ کی طرح تباہ ہوں گے۔
ان کے انگور کڑوے زہر کی طرح ہو نگے۔
3 اُن کی شراب سانپ کے زہر کی طرح ہو گی۔
34 “میں ا س سزا کو جمع کرتا ہو ں۔
’میں اسے اپنے بھنڈار خانہ میں بند کردیا ہوں۔
35 میں ان کے بُرے کاموں کیلئے جو انہوں نے کئے ہیں سزا دوں گا۔
بدکا رو ں کو سزا دی جا ئے گی اگر ان کے قدم بہک جا ئیں اور بُرا ئی کرنے لگیں
کیو نکہ ان کے مصیبت کا وقت قریب ہے
اور سزا دینے کا وقت بہت جلد آئے گا۔
36 “خداوند اپنے لوگوں کا انصاف کرے گا
اور جب وہ دیکھے گا کہ اس کے خادموں کی طاقت ختم ہو گئی ہے
تو اس پر مہربان ہو گا۔
اور کو ئی بھی با قی نہیں بچے گا
نہ غلام اور نہ ہی آزادلوگ۔
37 تب خداوند پوچھے گا ،
’لوگوں کے دیوتا کہا ں ہیں ؟
وہ ’ چٹان ‘ کہاں ہے ؟ جس کی پناہ میں وہ گئے تھے ؟
38 یہ دیوتا کی قربانیوں کی چربی کھا تے تھے
اور وہ تمہا رے نذرانے کی شراب پیتے تھے۔
اس لئے اُن خدا ؤں کو تمہا ری مدد کے لئے اٹھنے دو
انہیں تم کو بچانے دو۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses you shall not cross the Jordan – Joshua will lead Israelites
However Moses told Israelites that you are rebellious people and turn away from God after my death, and God anger will arouse against you for the works of your hand
God gave song to Moses to tell Israelites to recite and sung - this song tells that he is just God, & our creator, He selected Israel and his sons as His people and cared for them as apple of his eye, God feed them with best produce but they forget him and worshipped other gods, so God get angry with them and handover them to nation who have no understanding - He did the same as Israelites prefer other gods over God almighty - so He give them in hands of stupid people and afflict them by natural disasters and deadly diseases and wild beasts who devour them in streets as they made him angry by not listening and obeying - they do not understand that God fights for them so they will be ruined because of thrie lack of understanding; God will do justice - no one will survive whether free or slave - If we worship other gods, God will say call them in time of trouble so that they can save you
- so we need to obey God and in turn get His blessings otherwise disaster for us
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives
