Judges; Chapter 3 Verse 1-4
These are the nations the Lord left to test all those Israelites who had not experienced any of the wars in Canaan 2 (he did this only to teach warfare to the descendants of the Israelites who had not had previous battle experience): 3 the five rulers of the Philistines, all the Canaanites, the Sidonians, and the Hivites living in the Lebanon mountains from Mount Baal Hermon to Lebo Hamath. 4 They were left to test the Israelites to see whether they would obey the Lord’s commands, which he had given their ancestors through Moses.
3 خداوند اسرا ئیل کے ان لوگو ں کا امتحان لینا چاہتا تھا جو کہ اس جنگ میں حصّہ نہیں لئے تھے جس میں کنعان پر قبضہ کر لیا گیا تھا۔ اسلئے اس نے دوسری قوموں کے لوگوں کو اپنی زمین میں رہنے کی اجازت دی۔(خدا کی طرف سے یہ کر نے کا سبب صرف یہ تھا کہ جو جنگ میں حصّہ نہیں لئے تھے انہیں جنگ کے بارے میں سکھانا۔) یہاں ان قوموں کے نام ہیں جنہیں خداوند نے اسرا ئیل کی سر زمین کو چھوڑنے کے لئے مجبور نہیں کیا : 3 فلسطینی لوگوں کے ۵ حاکم ، سب کنعانی لوگ ، صیدون کے لوگ اور حوّی لوگ جو لبنا ن کے پہا ڑو ں میں بعل حرمون کے پہا ڑوں سے حمات تک رہتے تھے۔ 4 خداوند نے ان قوموں کو بنی اسرا ئیلیوں کے امتحان کے لئے اس ملک میں رہنے دیا۔ وہ یہ دیکھنا چاہتا تھا کہ آیا بنی اسرا ئیل خداوند کے ان احکام کی تعمیل کرنے میں کتنے پابند ہیں جو اس نے ان کے باپ دادا کو موسیٰ کے ذریعہ دیئے تھے۔
My point of view about above verses
Lord became very angry with Israel and said as this nation has violated the covenant I made with their ancestors – I will no longer drive other nations out and will test Israel through them whether they follow the way of the Lord as their ancestors did
Nations which Lord left to teach warfare to the decendants of Isralites who had not previous battle experience are Philistines, Canaanites, Sidonians, Hivites- God left them in their land to see whether they would obey the Lord’s commands given to their ancestors through Moses
If we worship someone else other than God, and not obey his commandments He will left us on the mercy of others and test us throuh other people - our life will become miserable
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
