2 Chronicles ; Chapter 28 verse 16- 21
16 At that time King Ahaz sent to the kings of Assyria for help. 17 The Edomites had again come and attacked Judah and carried away prisoners, 18 while the Philistines had raided towns in the foothills and in the Negev of Judah. They captured and occupied Beth Shemesh, Aijalon and Gederoth, as well as Soko, Timnah and Gimzo, with their surrounding villages. 19 The Lord had humbled Judah because of Ahaz king of Israel, for he had promoted wickedness in Judah and had been most unfaithful to the Lord. 20 Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria came to him, but he gave him trouble instead of help. 21 Ahaz took some of the things from the temple of the Lord and from the royal palace and from the officials and presented them to the king of Assyria, but that did not help him.
6-17 اُسی وقت ادوم کے لوگ پھر آئے انہوں نے یہوداہ کے لوگوں کو شکست دی ادومیوں نے لوگوں کو قیدی بنا یا اور قیدیوں کی طرح مانگنے گئے۔ اس لئے بادشاہ آخز نے اسور کے بادشاہ سے مدد مانگی۔ 18 فلسطینی لوگوں نے بھی جنوبی یہودا ہ اور پہا ڑی شہروں پر حملہ کیا۔ فلسطینیوں نے بیت شمس ایا لون ، جدیروت ، سو کو ، تمنہ اور جمضو کے شہروں پر قبضہ کر لیا۔ انہوں نے ان شہروں کے نزدیک کے گاؤں پر بھی قبضہ کر لیا۔ پھر ان شہروں میں فلسطینی رہنے لگے۔ 19 خدا وند نے یہوداہ کو مصیبت دی۔ کیوں کہ یہوداہ کے بادشاہ آخز نے یہوداہ کے لوگوں کو گناہ کرنے کے لئے اکسا یا۔ وہ خدا وند کا بہت نا فرمان تھا۔ 20 اسور کا بادشاہ تگلت پلنا صر آیا اور آخز کو مدد دینے کے بجائے تکلیف دی۔ 21 آخز نے کچھ قیمتی چیزیں خدا وند کی ہیکل اور شاہی محل اور شہزادوں کے محل سے لیا۔ آخز نے ان چیزوں کو اسور کے بادشاہ کو دیں لیکن اس نے آخز کی مدد نہیں کی
My point of view about above verses
Lord humbled Judah because of Ahaz king of Israel as he has promoted wickedness in Judah
When we did not behave as per God commandments - He created circumstances on our lives which make self humble
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
