2 Chronicles ; Chapter 34 verse 22- 28
22 Hilkiah and those the king had sent with him went to speak to the prophet Huldah, who was the wife of Shallum son of Tokhath, the son of Hasrah, keeper of the wardrobe. She lived in Jerusalem, in the New Quarter.
3 She said to them, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Tell the man who sent you to me, 24 ‘This is what the Lord says: I am going to bring disaster on this place and its people—all the curses written in the book that has been read in the presence of the king of Judah. 25 Because they have forsaken me and burned incense to other gods and aroused my anger by all that their hands have made, my anger will be poured out on this place and will not be quenched.’ 26 Tell the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of the Lord, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says concerning the words you heard: 27 Because your heart was responsive and you humbled yourself before God when you heard what he spoke against this place and its people, and because you humbled yourself before me and tore your robes and wept in my presence, I have heard you, declares the Lord. 28 Now I will gather you to your ancestors, and you will be buried in peace. Your eyes will not see all the disaster I am going to bring on this place and on those who live here.’”
2 خلقیاہ اور بادشاہ کے ملازم خلدہ نامی نبیہ کے پاس گئے۔خلدہ سلوم کی بیوی تھی۔سلوم تو قہت کا بیٹا تھا۔تو قہت خسرہ کا بیٹا تھا۔ خسرہ بادشا ہ کے لباس کی دیکھ بھال کر تا تھا۔خلدہ یروشلم کے نئے علاقے میں رہتی تھی۔ اور انہو ں نے یہ ساری باتیں اسکو کہہ دیں۔ 23 خلدہ نے ان سے کہا ، “یہ سب خداوند اسرائیل کے خدا نے کہا ہے : بادشاہ یوسیاہ سے کہو : 24 خداوند جو کہتا ہے وہ یہ ہے : ’ میں ا س جگہ اور یہاں کے رہنے وا لوں پر آفت لا ؤں گا۔میں وہ تمام بھیانک باتیں جو کتاب میں لکھی ہیں اور جو یہودا ہ کے بادشا ہ کے سامنے پڑھی گئی ہیں وہ سب لا ؤں گا۔ 25 میں اس لئے ایسا کروں گا کیونکہ لوگو ں نے مجھے چھوڑدیا اور جھو ٹے خدا ؤں کے سامنے بخور جلا ئے۔ ان لوگو ں نے مجھے غصہ میں اس لئے لا یا کہ انہوں نے تمام برائیاں کیں۔میرا غصہ ایک جلتی ہوئی آ گ ہے جسے بجھا یا نہیں جا سکتا!‘ 26 “لیکن یہودا ہ کے بادشا ہ یوسیاہ سے کہو کہ اس نے خداوند سے پو چھنے کے لئے تمہیں بھیجا۔ خداوند اسرائیل کا خدا جو کہتا ہے وہ یہ ہے : جو تم نے کچھ عرصے پہلے سُنا۔ان کے متعلق کہتا ہوں: 27 ’یوسیاہ تم نے اپنے کئے پر پچھتاوا کیا ،تم نے میرے سامنے اپنے آپ کو خاکسار کیا اور اپنے کپڑے پھاڑ ڈا لے۔ اور تم میرے سامنے رو ئے۔کیونکہ تمہارا دل نازک ہے۔ اس لئے میں نے تیری دعا کو سنا۔ 28 میں تمہیں تمہارے آباؤ اجداد کے پاس لے جاؤں گا تم اپنی قبر میں سلامتی سے جاؤ گے۔ تمہیں کسی بھی مصیبتوں کو دیکھنے کی نوبت نہیں آئے گی جنہیں میں اس جگہ اور یہاں کے رہنے والے لوگوں پر لاؤنگا۔“خلقیاہ اور بادشاہ کے ملازم یوسیاہ کے پاس یہ پیغام لیکر واپس ہوئے۔
My point of view about above verses
God told through Prophetess Huddah that I will bring disaster on Israelites as they burned incense to other gods but tell the king of Judah as you humbled yourself tore your robe and wept and fasted so you will gather with your ancestors in peace – your eyes will not see the disaster I am bringing to this place
If we humble ourselves - He did not shows his wrath
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
