Ezra ; Chapter 7 verse 18-24
King Artaxerxes’ Letter to Ezra
18 You and your fellow Israelites may then do whatever seems best with the rest of the silver and gold, in accordance with the will of your God. 19 Deliver to the God of Jerusalem all the articles entrusted to you for worship in the temple of your God. 20 And anything else needed for the temple of your God that you are responsible to supply, you may provide from the royal treasury.
21 Now I, King Artaxerxes, decree that all the treasurers of Trans-Euphrates are to provide with diligence whatever Ezra the priest, the teacher of the Law of the God of heaven, may ask of you— 22 up to a hundred talents of silver, a hundred cors of wheat, a hundred baths of wine, a hundred baths of olive oil, and salt without limit. 23 Whatever the God of heaven has prescribed, let it be done with diligence for the temple of the God of heaven. Why should his wrath fall on the realm of the king and of his sons? 24 You are also to know that you have no authority to impose taxes, tribute or duty on any of the priests, Levites, musicians, gatekeepers, temple servants or other workers at this house of God.
18 پھر اس کے بعد تم اور دوسرے یہودی باقی سونے چاندی کو جس طرح چا ہے خرچ کر سکتے ہو۔ اس کا استعمال اسی طرح کرو جس سے تمہا را خدا خوش ہو جا ئے۔ 19 ان تمام چیزوں کو جو تمہیں دی گئی تھیں یروشلم کے خدا کے پاس لے جا ؤ وہ چیزیں تمہا رے خدا کی ہیکل میں عبادت کے لئے ہیں۔ 20 تم اور دوسری چیزیں بھی لے سکتے ہو۔ تم اپنی پسند کی چیزیں شاہی خزا نے کے پیسے سے خدا کی ہیکل کے لئے خرید سکتے ہو۔
21 اب میں بادشا ہ ارتخششتا یہ حکم دیتا ہوں کہ میں ان تمام لوگوں کو جو دریائے فرات کے مغربی علاقوں میں رہتے ہیں اور وہ جو بادشا ہ کے خزانے کو رکھتے ہیں وہ عزرا کو دیں جسکی اسے ضرورت ہے۔عزرا ایک کا ہن اور آسمان کے خدا کی شریعت کا معلم ہے۔ یہ جلدی اور مکمل طریقے سے کرو۔ 22 عزرا کو یہ بہت زیادہ دو : ۴/ ۳۳ ٹن چاندی ، ۶۰۰ بوشل گیہوں ، ۶۰۰ گیلن مئے ، ۶۰۰ گیلن زیتون کا تیل اور جتنا بھی نمک عزرا چاہتا ہو۔
23 آسمان کا خدا عزرا کو جو بھی چیز دینے کے لئے حکم دے اسے جلدی سے مکمل طور سے عزرا کو دینا چا ہئے۔ یہ آسمان کے خدا کی ہیکل کے لئے کرو۔ ہم نہیں چاہتے کہ خدا ہم پر یا ہماری بادشا ہت اور ہمار ے بیٹو ں پر غصہ کرے۔
24 میں چاہتا ہو کہ تم لوگ یہ جان جا ؤ کہ کا ہنوں ، لا ویوں، گلو کا روں دربانوں اور خدا کی ہیکل کے دوسرے کام کرنے وا لوں اور خدا کی ہیکل کے خادموں سے کسی قسم کے محصول کا مطالبہ قانون کے خلاف ہے۔ان لوگو ں کو محصول یا کسی قسم کامحصول ادا نہیں کرنا چا ہئے۔
My point of view about above verses
God moved the heart of king of Persia to built a temple for him in Jerusalem
God moved the hearts of heads of Judah and the priests and Levites - & they went to build the house of Lord in Jerusalem
God moved the heart of King Dairus to rebuilt the house of God in Jerusalem
King Cyrus issued a decree to rebuilt the house of Lord and made arrangent of finances to build the House of God
King Dara of Persia issued a decree to start builting the Temple of God of heaven
Ezra (a teacher well versed in the Law of Moses) from descendants of Aaron the priest went from Babylon to built the temple of Lord. King granted him everything as the hand of Lord was on him
Its God always who moved hearts of the people of all the nations of the world
God use kings and governments to do good to His people
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
