Jeremiah 6, verse 24-26

27 “I have made you a tester of metals and my people the ore, that you may observe and test their ways. 28 They are all hardened rebels, going about to slander. They are bronze and iron; they all act corruptly. 29 The bellows blow fiercely to burn away the lead with fire, but the refining goes on in vain; the wicked are not purged out. 30 They are called rejected silver, because the Lord has rejected them.”
27 “اے یرمیا ہ! میں نے (خداوند نے) تمہیں
اپنے لوگوں کے خلاف فصیل دار برج کی طرح مقرر کیا تھا
تا کہ تم ان کی نقل و حرکت کو
جا نو اور پر کھو۔
28 میرے لوگ میرے خلاف ہو گئے ہیں،
اور وہ بہت ضدی ہیں۔
وہ لوگوں کے با رے میں بری باتیں کہتے پھر تے ہیں۔
وہ تو تانبا اور لو ہا کی مانند ہیں
اور وہ اپنے سلوک سے تبا ہ کن ہیں۔
29 جب دھوکنی تپش پیداکر تی ہے تو سیسہ کو آ گ سے با ہر آنا چا ہئے
لیکن صاف کرنے وا لے کا صاف کرنے کا کام بیکار ہے کیونکہ برا ئی کو ہٹایا نہیں گیا۔
30 میرے لوگ ' کھو ٹی چاندی' کہلا ئیں گے،
ان کو یہ نام ملے گا کیوں کہ خداوند نے انہیں رد کر دیا ہے۔ ”
My point of view about above verses
God told people of Benjamin flee for safety as disaster is coming from north to destroy Zion – Shepherds along their flocks pitch their tents to get their portion
God told others are preparing to battle against her(Jerusalem) – and destroy her fortresses
God told cut down the trees and build siege against Jerusalem – the city must be punished as it is filled with cruelty
God says as well pours out its water so Jerusalem pours out her wickedness – violence and destruction surrounds her
God said take warning Jerusalem I will make your land desolate so no one can live in it
Let them gather the remnant of Israel as grapes are gathered from vine
Jeremiah says no body cares about God's wrath which is about to come on young and old both
God told tell my words to children in street and on young man gathered, husband and wife and old people their houses will be turned over to other together with their fields and wives – when I stretch out my hand against those who live in landGod said they all are greedy for gain even prophets and priest alike – all practice deceit
They say to my wounded people there is peace although there is no peace
God said they are not ashamed of their detestable conduct – so they will fell – I will punish them
Stand at the crossroads and look for ancient paths – ask where the good way is and walk in it – and you will find rest for your souls
God says they said we will not walk in it – God says listen the sound of trumpet but you said we will not listen – so u who all listening – listen I am bringing disaster on them - as thet did not abide by my law
I don’t care for your offering of incense which you brings from distant land to please me
So God said I will put obstacles before this people – parents and children alike will stagger & neighbors and friends will perish
God said an army is coming from north – they are merciless people – they ride on their horses – they are coming to attack Zion
So mourn as one mourns for his only son
God told them they are like metals – hardened rebels, act corruptly – however they are rejected by me
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
