Jeremiah 7, verse 21-26

21 “‘This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Go ahead, add your burnt offerings to your other sacrifices and eat the meat yourselves! 22 For when I brought your ancestors out of Egypt and spoke to them, I did not just give them commands about burnt offerings and sacrifices, 23 but I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in obedience to all I command you, that it may go well with you. 24 But they did not listen or pay attention; instead, they followed the stubborn inclinations of their evil hearts. They went backward and not forward. 25 From the time your ancestors left Egypt until now, day after day, again and again I sent you my servants the prophets. 26 But they did not listen to me or pay attention. They were stiff-necked and did more evil than their ancestors.’
خداوند قربانی سے زیادہ فرمانبرداری چاہتا ہے
21 اسرائیل کا خدا، خداوند قادر مطلق فرماتا ہے: “اپنی قربانیوں پر اور اپنے جلانے کی قربانیاں بھی بڑھا ؤ اور گوشت کھا ؤ۔ 22 جب میں تمہا رے با پ دادا کو مصر سے با ہر لا یا۔ تو میں نے انہیں جلانے کے نذرانوں اور قربانیوں کے با رے میں کو ئی حکم نہیں دیا۔ 23 میں نے انہیں صرف یہ حکم دیا تھا کہ اگر تم میری آواز سنو گے تو میں تمہا را خدا ہوں گا اور تم میرے لوگ ہو گے۔ جو بھی راہ میں تمہیں دکھا ؤں اور جس راہ کی میں تم کو ہدایت کروں اس پر چلو۔ اس میں تمہا را اپنا بھلا ہو گا۔
24 “لیکن تمہا رے با پ دادا نے میری ایک نہ سنی۔ انہوں نے مجھ پر دھیان نہیں دیا۔ وہ ضد پر اڑے رہے اور انہوں نے ان برے کا موں کو کیا جو وہ کرنا چا ہتے تھے۔ وہ اپنی پیٹھ میری طرف موڑ لئے۔
25 جب سے تمہا رے با پ دادا ملک مصر سے نکل آئے اس وقت سے آج تک میں نے تمہا رے پاس اپنے بہت سے خادموں یعنی نبیوں کو بھیجا۔ میں نے ان کو ہمیشہ وقت پر بھیجا۔ 26 لیکن تمہارے با پ دادا نے میری ان سنی کی انہو ں نے مجھ پر دھیان نہیں دیا۔ وہ بہت ضدی تھے اور انہوں نے باپ دادا سے بڑھ کر برائیاں کیں۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Jeremiah that stand at the gate of Lord’s house and proclaim this message
God says do not think that you are in my tample and do whatever you want rather
do good with widows, fatherless and foreigners, do not shed innocent blood and deal justly and do not worship other gods then i will let you live near my tample
God said you will steal, murder and lie and then enter my house - do you thinks its a place of living for robers - i am watching you
God said i will destroy this temple as i destroyed before and throw you out as i throw out people of Epharim
God said all family members are together to worship other gods like queen of heaven - so do not ask any favour for such people - they are thinking that they are harming me - but not they are actually harming themselves
So I will put my wrath on this place and all living beings because of their wickedness
God says i want my people to obey me than offering sacrifices and burnt offerings and be on the way which i tell them to walk
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
