Numbers 2 ; verse 25 - 33
The Arrangement of the Tribal Camps
25 On the north will be the divisions of the camp of Dan under their standard. The leader of the people of Dan is Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai. 26 His division numbers 62,700.
27 The tribe of Asher will camp next to them. The leader of the people of Asher is Pagiel son of Okran. 28 His division numbers 41,500.
29 The tribe of Naphtali will be next. The leader of the people of Naphtali is Ahira son of Enan. 30 His division numbers 53,400.
31 All the men assigned to the camp of Dan number 157,600. They will set out last, under their standards.
32 These are the Israelites, counted according to their families. All the men in the camps, by their divisions, number 603,550. 33 The Levites, however, were not counted along with the other Israelites, as the Lord commanded Moses.
(25)اور شِمال کی طرف اپنے دَلوں کے مُطابِق دان کی چھاؤنی کے جھنڈے کے لوگ ہوں اور عمِّیشدّ ی کا بیٹا اخیعزر بنی دان کا سردار ہو۔
(26)اور اُس کے دَل کے لوگ جو شُمار کِئے گئے تھے وہ باسٹھ ہزار سات سَو تھے۔
(27)اِن کے قریب آشر کے قبِیلہ کے لوگ ڈیرے لگائیں اور عکرا ن کا بیٹا فجعی ایل بنی آشرکا سردار ہو۔
(28)اور اُس کے دَل کے لوگ جو شُمار کِئے گئے تھے وہ اِکتالِیس ہزار پانچ سَو تھے۔
(29)پِھر نفتالی کا قبِیلہ ہو اور عینان کا بیٹا اَخیر ع بنی نفتالی کا سردار ہو۔
(30)اور اُس کے دَل کے لوگ جو شُمار کِئے گئے وہ ترِپن ہزار چار سَو تھے۔
(31)سو جِتنے دان کی چھاؤنی میں گِنے گئے وہ ایک لاکھ ستّاون ہزار چھ سَو تھے ۔ یہ لوگ اپنے اپنے جھنڈے کے پاس پاس ہو کر سب سے پِیچھے کُوچ کِیا کریں۔
(32)بنی اِسرائیل میں سے جو لوگ اپنے آبائی خاندانوں کے مُطابِق گِنے گئے وہ یِہی ہیں اور سب چھاؤنیوں کے جِتنے لوگ اپنے اپنے دَل کے مُطابِق گِنے گئے وہ چھ لاکھ تِین ہزار پانچ سَو پچاس تھے۔
(33)لیکن لاوی جَیسا خُداوند نے مُوسیٰ کو حُکم کِیا تھا بنی اِسرائیل کے ساتھ گِنے نہیں گئے۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses in Mount Sinai after one year of their exodus / departure from Egypt to count all Israelite by tribes and encamp around tabernacle - As tabernacle was in middle - the twelve tribes of Israelite has to arrange themselves as East, West, South and north - God started from East side and tell tribe of Judah to encamp east side of tabernacle having a number of 74, 600 followed by two other tribes Issachar and Zebulun having numbers of 54, 400 and 57,400 respectively- So total number of Judah division is 186, 400 encamping towards east of tabernacle -
This division is first to move - God also tells the names of leaders who can lead their men-
Then God told for South side that tribe of Ruben having number of 46,500 followed by tribe of Simon and Gad with numbers of 59,300 and 45, 650 - so total number of Ruben division is 151,450 encamping towards south side of tabernacle
This division is 2nd to move - God also tells the names of leaders who can lead their men-
The tribe of Levi is to encamp in the middle of all tribes and near the tabernacle - They need to move after the division of Judah and Ruben - So Levites are selected to take care of tabernacle stuff - The king of Canaan has to face an organized army and not a mob
The tribe of Ephraim (Joseph son) is to encamp west side of tabernacle followed by Manasseh (brother of Ephraim ) so Joseph both sons got two tribes in Israel and tribe of Benjamin is next to tribe of Manasseh with numbers of 40,500, and 32,200 and 35,400 respectively - thus total number of 108,100 of division of Ephraim to move third
The tribe of Dan encamp to north side of tabernacle followed by Asher and Naphtali having numbers of 62,700 and 41,500 and 53,400 making a total of 157,600 - They have to move last
So total men encamped to the four sides of tabernacle are 603,550 without the numbers of Levi tribe
So God started the journey of Israelite from Egypt to Canaan in an organized manner and not like a mob
God tells them that how to organize themselves to achieve the goals - He is organized God and want us to organize our lives as per his laws
Let God give us wisdom to understand his word and apply it in our lives
