Numbers 14 ; verse 36-38
36 So the men Moses had sent to explore the land, who returned and made the whole community grumble against him by spreading a bad report about it— 37 these men who were responsible for spreading the bad report about the land were struck down and died of a plague before the Lord. 38 Of the men who went to explore the land, only Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh survived.
36اور جِن آدمِیوں کو مُوسیٰؔ نے مُلک کا حال دریافت کرنے کو بھیجا تھا جِنہوں نے لَوٹ کر اُس مُلک کی اَیسی بُری خبر سُنائی تھی جِس سے ساری جماعت مُوسیٰؔ پر کُڑکُڑانے لگی۔ 37سو وہ آدمی جِنہوں نے مُلک کی بُری خبر دی تھی خُداوند کے سامنے وبا سے مَر گئے۔ 38پر جو آدمی اُس مُلک کا حال دریافت کرنے گئے تھے اُن میں سے نُونؔ کا بیٹا یشُوعؔ اور یفُنّؔہ کا بیٹا کالِبؔ دونوں جِیتے بچے رہے
My point of view about above verses
When some people from Israelites including Joshua and Caleb explore the land of Canaan and report back that the people of land is very strong – except Joshua and Caleb said we can occupy the land as God is with us – then the Israelites grumbled against God and Moses and Aaron – Then glory of Lord appeared at the tent of meeting and God said how long these people deal me with contempt and how long they refuse to believe me. I will strike them with plague and destroy them and make you into a great and stronger nation than they are
As God got angry with Israelites & He told Moses & Aaron that none of them except their children whom they said will be plunder for other nations and Caleb and Joshua will enter in that land.
God gets angry if we keep testing him - We need to trust Him and then miracles happens - Trust God in all circumstances as whatever he does is good for us, opposing God means destruction so to live blissfully we need to obey Him - however He does not punish children for the sins of their forefathers
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and help us to apply it in our lives
