Numbers 16 ; verse 25-35
Korah, Dathan and Abiram
25 Moses got up and went to Dathan and Abiram, and the elders of Israel followed him. 26 He warned the assembly, “Move back from the tents of these wicked men! Do not touch anything belonging to them, or you will be swept away because of all their sins.” 27 So they moved away from the tents of Korah, Dathan and Abiram. Dathan and Abiram had come out and were standing with their wives, children and little ones at the entrances to their tents.
28 Then Moses said, “This is how you will know that the Lord has sent me to do all these things and that it was not my idea: 29 If these men die a natural death and suffer the fate of all mankind, then the Lord has not sent me. 30 But if the Lord brings about something totally new, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them, with everything that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the realm of the dead, then you will know that these men have treated the Lord with contempt.”
31 As soon as he finished saying all this, the ground under them split apart 32 and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and their households, and all those associated with Korah, together with their possessions. 33 They went down alive into the realm of the dead, with everything they owned; the earth closed over them, and they perished and were gone from the community. 34 At their cries, all the Israelites around them fled, shouting, “The earth is going to swallow us too!”
35 And fire came out from the Lord and consumed the 250 men who were offering the incense.
5 موسیٰ کھڑے ہو ئے اور داتن اور ابیرام کے پاس گئے۔ اسرائیل کے تمام بزرگ اس کے پیچھے چلے۔ 26 موسیٰ نے لوگوں کو خبردار کیا اُن بُرے آدمیوں کے خیموں سے دور ہٹ جا ؤ اُن کی کسی چیز کو نہ چھو نا اور اگر تم لوگ چھو ؤ گے تو اِن کے گنا ہوں کی وجہ سے تباہ ہو جا ؤگے۔
27 اس لئے لوگ قورح ، داتن اور ابیرام کے خیموں سے دور ہٹ گئے۔ داتن اور ابیرام اپنے خیمے کے با ہر اپنی بیوی بچے اور چھو ٹے بچوں کے ساتھ کھڑے تھے۔
28 تب موسیٰ نے کہا ، “ میں تمہیں ثبوت دوں گا کہ خداوند نے مجھے یہ تمام چیزیں کرنے کے لئے بھیجا میں تم کو کہہ چکا ہوں میں یہ بتا ؤں گا کہ وہ تمام چیزیں میرے خیال کی نہیں ہیں۔ 29 یہ آدمی یہاں مر جا ئیں گے لیکن اگر یہ عام طریقے سے مرتے ہیں جیسا کہ عام آدمی مرتے ہیں تو یہ ظا ہر ہو گا کہ خداوند نے حقیقت میں مجھے نہیں بھیجا۔ 30 لیکن اگر خداوند ایک نئی چیز تخلیق کرے تو تمہیں معلوم ہو گا کہ یہ آدمی حقیقت میں خداوند کے خلا ف گناہ کیا ہے۔ یہی ثبوت ہے زمین پھٹ جا ئے گی اور ان آدمیوں کو نگل لے گی۔ وہ اپنی قبروں میں زندہ ہی جا ئیں گے اور ان کی ہر ایک چیز اُن کے ساتھ نیچے چلی جا ئے گی۔”
31 جب موسیٰ نے اپنی باتیں کہنا ختم کیا ، کہ ان لوگوں کے پیروں کے نیچے زمین کھلی۔ 32 یہ ایسا تھا جیسے زمین نے اپنا منہ کھو لا اور انہیں کھا گئی اور ان کے سارے خاندان ، قورح کے تمام آدمی اور ان کی سبھی چیزیں زمین میں چلی گئیں۔ 33 وہ زندہ ہی قبر میں چلے گئے ان کی ہر ایک چیز ان کے ساتھ زمین میں سما گئی۔ تب زمین اُن کے اوپر سے بند ہو گئی۔ وہ تباہ ہو گئے اور اپنی جماعت سے غا ئب ہو گئے۔
34 بنی اسرا ئیلیوں نے تباہ شدہ لوگوں کا رو نا چِلّا نا سُنا اس لئے وہ چا روں طرف دو ڑ پڑے اور کہنے لگے، “زمین ہم لوگوں کو بھی نگل جا ئے گی۔”
35 تب خداوند سے آ گ آئی اور اس نے ۲۵۰ آدمیوں کو جو بخور نذر کر رہے تھے تباہ کر دیا۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses tell Israelites to
stay away from tents of Korah, Dathan and Abiram - as they are comparing themselves with Aaron Moses and their families and telling that all Israelites are holy and can work for tabernacle - But God got angry with them and want to punish them - so earth opened up where the tents of those men are and swallowed them up with their household and belongings and other people became frightened
So when God selects some person to do certain duties - nobody has to interfere as He KNOWS what he is doing
We only trust that whatever commandments He gave, is for our benefit so that we can reach to full potential of LIFE in us
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and help us to apply it in our lives
