Numbers 18 ; verse 14-16
Offerings for Priests and Levites
“Everything in Israel that is devoted to the Lord is yours. 15 The first offspring of every womb, both human and animal, that is offered to the Lord is yours. But you must redeem every firstborn son and every firstborn male of unclean animals. 16 When they are a month old, you must redeem them at the redemption price set at five shekels of silver, according to the sanctuary shekel, which weighs twenty gerahs.
14 “اور اسرائیل میں ہر ایک چیز جو خدا وند کو دی جاتی ہے تمہاری ہے۔
15 کسی بھی خاندان کا پہلوٹھا بچّہ یا پہلوٹھا جانور خدا وند کو پیش کیا جائے گا اور وہ تمہارا ہوگا۔ لیکن تمہیں ہر پہلوٹھا بچّہ اور پہلوٹھا ناپاک نر جانور کے بدلے میں پیسہ قبول کرنا چاہئے۔ تب پہلوٹھا بچّہ پھر اُس خاندان کا ہوجائے گا۔ 16 جب وہ ایک مہینے کا ہو جائے تب تمہیں ان کے لئے کفّارہ لے لینا چاہئے۔ اُس کی قیمت ۵ مثقال چاندی ہوگی۔ سرکاری ناپ کے مطابق ایک مثقال بیس جیرہ کے برابر ہوتا ہے۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Aaron that everything devoted to Lord is your- The first off spring of every womb of human and animal belongs to you. You have to redeem every first born son and first born of unclean animals. The redemption price set at five shekels of silver (which weighs 20 gerahs as per sanctuary shekel
So all offerings to Lord belongs to Priests and his family members, this is arrangement of living made by God for priests and their families so that they can serve whole- heartedly to Him - we need to give our offerings to priests to obey God
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and help us to apply it in our lives
