Numbers 18 ; verse 17-19
Offerings for Priests and Levites
17 “But you must not redeem the firstborn of a cow, a sheep or a goat; they are holy. Splash their blood against the altar and burn their fat as a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord. 18 Their meat is to be yours, just as the breast of the wave offering and the right thigh are yours. 19 Whatever is set aside from the holy offerings the Israelites present to the Lord I give to you and your sons and daughters as your perpetual share. It is an everlasting covenant of salt before the Lord for both you and your offspring.”
17 “لیکن تمہیں پہلوٹھی گائے ، بھیڑ یا بکرے کے لئے کفّارہ نہیں لینا چاہئے یہ جانور مقدس ہے اور اسکا خون چھڑکنا چاہئے اور اسکی چربی کو ضرور جلانا چاہئے۔ یہ نذرانہ تحفہ ہے ، خدا وند کے لئے خوشگوار خوشبو ہے۔ 18 لیکن اُن جانوروں کا گوشت تمہارا ہوگا۔ ٹھیک ایسا ہی لہرانے کے نذرانے کا سینہ اور دُوسری قربانیوں کی دائیں ران تمہاری ہوگی۔ 19 کوئی بھی چیز جسے لوگ مقدس نذرانے کے طور پر پیش کر تے ہیں۔ میں،خدا وند اسے تمہیں دیتا ہوں یہ تمہارا حصّہ ہے۔ یہ خدا وند کے ساتھ کیا گیا معاہدہ ہے جو ہمیشہ قائم رہے گا۔ یہ وعدہ تم سے اور تمہاری نسلوں سے کرتا ہوں۔”
My point of view about above verses
You are not supposed to redeem first born of cow, sheep and goat as they are holy – splash their blood against the altar and burn their fat as food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord. Their meat is yours as breast of wave offering and right thigh- whatever set aside from the holy offerings belong to your sons and daughters as your perpetual share. It is everlasting covenant of salt for generation to come
Thus all offerings to Lord belongs to Priests and their family members, this is arrangement of living made by God for priests and their families so that they can serve whole- heartedly to Him - we need to give our offerings to priests to obey God
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and help us to apply it in our lives
