Numbers 28 ; verse 3-8
Daily Offerings
3 Say to them: ‘This is the food offering you are to present to the Lord: two lambs a year old without defect, as a regular burnt offering each day. 4 Offer one lamb in the morning and the other at twilight, 5 together with a grain offering of a tenth of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of oil from pressed olives. 6 This is the regular burnt offering instituted at Mount Sinai as a pleasing aroma, a food offering presented to the Lord. 7 The accompanying drink offering is to be a quarter of a hin of fermented drink with each lamb. Pour out the drink offering to the Lord at the sanctuary. 8 Offer the second lamb at twilight, along with the same kind of grain offering and drink offering that you offer in the morning. This is a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.
3 اس تحفہ کو انہیں خداوند کو پیش کرنا چا ہئے۔ انہیں بغیر عیب وا لے ایک سال کے دو میمنے روزانہ قربانی کے طور پر پیش کرنا چا ہئے۔ یہ ایک سلسلہ وار جلانے کی قربانی ہے یہ ان لوگوں کو روزانہ پیش کرنا چا ہئے۔ 4 دو میمنوں میں سے ایک کو صبح چڑھا ؤ اور دوسرے کو شام کے وقت۔ 5 ایک لیٹر زیتون کے تیل سے ملے ہو ئے آٹھ پیالے عمدہ آ ٹے کے اناج کا نذرانہ پیش کرو۔” 6 ( انہوں نے سینا ئی پہا ڑ پر روزانہ نذر دینا شروع کر دیا۔ خداوند نے ان جلانے کی قربانیوں کی خوشبو پسند کی تھی۔ ) 7 لوگوں کو جلانے کی قربانی کے ساتھ مئے کا نذرانہ بھی چڑ ھا نا چا ہئے۔ انہیں ہر ایک میمنے کے ساتھ ایک کوارٹ مئے پیش کرنا چا ہئے۔ اس مئے کا نذرانہ کو قربانگاہ پر ڈالو اور یہ خداوند کے لئے ایک نذرانہ ہو گا۔ 8 دوسرے میمنے کو شام میں نذرانہ کے طور پر پیش کرو۔ اور اسے اس طرح پیش کرو جیسے یہ صبح میں پیش کیا گیا تھا۔ مئے کا نذرانہ بھی ضرور پیش کرنا چا ہئے یہ خداوند کے لئے ایک تحفہ، میٹھی خوشبو ہو گی۔ ”
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses tell Israelites that they have to present my food offerings (an aroma pleasing to God) at appointed time
God need offerings from us for Him - Although He is the one who is provider of everything but make us worthy to offer Him from his blessings bestowed upon us in different forms
God tell them that food offerings they have present to Lord are, two lambs a year old without defect – a regular burnt offering one morning and one at twilight – together with grain offering of one tenth of epha of finest floor mixed with quarter of hin of oil from pressed olives. This must be accompanied with drink offering – quarter of hin of fermented drink with each lamb, pour out the drink offering to the Lord at sanctuary. Offer the second lamb at twilight along with same kind of grain offering and drink offering. This is a food offering – an aroma pleasing to the Lord
Ephah ---an ancient Hebrew dry measure equivalent to the bath (of about 40 litres or 9 gallons
Hin--- a Hebrew unit of liquid capacity equal to approximately 5 litres (about one gallon).
Only listening is not which works with God rather to obey Him,
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and help us to apply it in our lives
