Deuteronomy 3 ; verse 23-29
23 At that time I pleaded with the Lord: 24 “Sovereign Lord, you have begun to show to your servant your greatness and your strong hand. For what god is there in heaven or on earth who can do the deeds and mighty works you do? 25 Let me go over and see the good land beyond the Jordan—that fine hill country and Lebanon.”
26 But because of you the Lord was angry with me and would not listen to me. “That is enough,” the Lord said. “Do not speak to me anymore about this matter. 27 Go up to the top of Pisgah and look west and north and south and east. Look at the land with your own eyes, since you are not going to cross this Jordan. 28 But commission Joshua, and encourage and strengthen him, for he will lead this people across and will cause them to inherit the land that you will see.” 29 So we stayed in the valley near Beth Peor.
موسیٰ کو کنعان میں داخل ہونے کی ممانعت
23 “میں نے اُس وقت خدا وند سے خاص مہربانی کی دعا کی۔ میں نے خدا وند سے کہا ، ’ 24 خدا وند میرے آقا ،میں تیرا خادم ہوں۔ تو نے اپنی طاقتور اور تعجب خیز کارناموں کو دکھانا شروع کر دیا ہے۔ آسمان یا زمین پر کوئی ایسا خدا نہیں جو ایسی طاقتور اور تعجب خیز کارناموں کو انجام دے سکے جیسا کہ تو نے کیا ہے۔ 25 میں تجھ سے التجاء کرتا ہوں کہ تو مجھے یردن ندی کے پار اچھی زمین اور خوبصورت پہاڑی ملک اور لبنان کو دیکھنے کے لئے جانے دے۔‘
26 “لیکن خدا وند تم لوگوں کی وجہ سے مجھ پر غصّہ میں تھا اُس نے میری بات سننے سے انکار کردیا۔ اُس نے مجھ سے کہا، ’بہت ہوگیا۔ تم مجھے اس کے متعلق اور ایک لفظ بھی نہ کہو
27 پسگہ پہاڑ کی چوٹی پر جاؤ مغرب کی طرف ، شُمال کی طرف ، جنوب کی طرف ، مشرق کی طرف دیکھو سارے ملک کو تم اپنی آنکھوں سے دیکھو کیوں کہ تم دریائے یردن کو پار نہیں کرو گے۔ 28 تمہیں یشوع کو ہدایت دینی چاہئے اُسے با ہمّت اور طاقتور بناؤ کیوں ؟ کیوں کہ یشوع لوگوں کو دریائے یردن کے پار لے جائے گا۔ یشوع ملک لینے اور اُس میں رہنے کے لئے لے جائے گا۔ یہی وہ ملک ہے جسے تم دیکھو گے۔‘ 29 “اِسی لئے ہم بیت فُغور کے دوسری جانب وادی میں ٹھہر گئے۔ ”
My point of view about above verses
Moses requested God to let him see the whole land he is going to give Israelites as their possession but God told him we will not speak on this as He was angry with me because of you – so he said you will not cross Jordon – tell Joshua and strengthen him to lead the people who will cause to inherit the land you have seen from top of Pisgah mountain – west, north and south and east
We should give priority to God in our lives as He knows better than us
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and apply it in our lives - As this is the Word of God through which we recognize Him
