Deuteronomy 28 ; verse 43-48

Curses for Disobedience

43 The foreigners who reside among you will rise above you higher and higher, but you will sink lower and lower. 44 They will lend to you, but you will not lend to them. They will be the head, but you will be the tail.

45 All these curses will come on you. They will pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the Lord your God and observe the commands and decrees he gave you. 46 They will be a sign and a wonder to you and your descendants forever. 47 Because you did not serve the Lord your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity, 48 therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the Lord sends against you. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you.

43 تمہا رے درمیا ن رہنے وا لے غیر ملکی زیادہ سے زیادہ طاقتور ہو جا ئیں گے اور تم اپنی طاقت کھو تے جا ؤ گے۔ 44 غیر ملکیوں کے پاس تمہیں قرض دینے کے لئے دولت ہو گی لیکن تمہا رے پاس انہیں ادھار دینے لا ئق دولت نہیں ہو گی۔ وہ لوگ سر کے مانند ہوں گے لیکن تم دُم کے مانند ہو گے۔

45 “یہ ساری بد دعائیں تم پر آئیں گی وہ تمہا را پیچھا اس وقت تک کرتے رہیں گے جب تک تم تباہ نہ ہو جا ؤکیوں ؟ کیوں کہ تم نے خداوند اپنے خدا کی کہی ہو ئی باتوں کی پرواہ نہیں کی تم نے اس کے ان احکام اور

اور اصولوں کو نہیں مانا جسے اس نے تمہیں دیا۔ 46 یہ بددعا ئیں لوگوں کو بتا ئیں گی کہ خدا نے تمہا ری نسلوں کے ساتھ کیسا انصاف کیا ہے۔ یہ بد دعا نشان اور انتباہ کے طور پر تمہیں اور تمہا ری نسلوں کو ہمیشہ یاد رہیں گی۔

47 “خداوند تمہا رے خدا نے تمہیں بہت سے کراما ت دیئے لیکن تم نے اس کی خدمت خوشی اور فراخدل سے نہیں کی۔

48 اس لئے تم اپنے دشمنوں کی خدمت کرو گے جنہیں خداوند تمہا رے خلا ف بھیجے گا۔ تم بھو کے پیاسے اور ننگے رہو گے تمہا رے پاس کچھ بھی نہ ہو گا۔ خداوند تمہا ری گردن پر ایک لو ہے کا جُوا اس وقت تک رکھے گا جب تک وہ تمہیں تباہ نہیں کر دیتا۔

My point of view about above verses

God told when you entered the land I promised to give you and have crossed Jordan – set up some large stones on Mount Ebal and coat them with plaster and write on them all the words of this law –

God want us that His laws and decrees which He gave should be before our eyes all the time so that we are inclined to implement to live a happy and joyful life

Following blessings and curses has to be pronounced from Mount Gerizim and Mount Ebal respectively – by Israelites tribes

God told about curses if you do not obey your Lord – the foreigners residing amoung you will be more powerful and lead you and lend you, they will overtake you until you are destroyed totally, you will be tail and they will be head, as you did not obey your Lord when you were prosperous, so now you will die in hunger and thrust and nakedness and poverty, you will serve your enemies and they will put an iron york around your neck until you are destroyed completely,

So if people are in trouble in hand of foreigners - it means they are not listening / obeying God and in turn suffering as a punishment from God

How terrible it is for mankind to stand against God, their days and nights will be cursed and everything will be cursed what they are doing

As people of God we have to be resposible for our actions - if we obey His commandments, there are blessings for us - otherwise curses

Our God wants us to spend a joyful life on earth, only we need to follow what He says and believe me there is happiness around us - Righteous acts brings happiness for us - Lets do and enjoy life

-These are the orders given by God for our ultimate good and we all have to follow

May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives
