Deuteronomy 28 ; verse 64-68
Curses for Disobedience
64 Then the Lord will scatter you among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other. There you will worship other gods—gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your ancestors have known. 65 Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the Lord will give you an anxious mind, eyes weary with longing, and a despairing heart. 66 You will live in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day, never sure of your life. 67 In the morning you will say, “If only it were evening!” and in the evening, “If only it were morning!”—because of the terror that will fill your hearts and the sights that your eyes will see. 68 The Lord will send you back in ships to Egypt on a journey I said you should never make again. There you will offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one will buy you.
64 “خداوند تمہیں زمین کے ایک کو نے سے دوسرے کو نے تک دنیا کے تمام لوگوں میں بکھیر دے گا۔ وہاں تم لکڑی اور پتھر کے دوسرے دیوتاؤں کی پرستش کرو گے جنکی تم نے یا تمہا رے آ باؤ اجداد نے کبھی پرستش نہیں کی۔
65 “تمہیں ا ن قوموں کے بیچ کچھ بھی امن نہیں ملے گا تمہیں آرام کی کو ئی جگہ نہیں ملے گی۔ خداوند تمہا رے دماغوں کو فکروں سے بھر دے گا تمہا ری آنکھیں تھک جا ئیں گی تم اپنے کو اکھڑا ہو ا محسوس کرو گے۔ 66 تم مشکل میں رہو گے تم دن رات خوف زدہ رہوگے ہمیشہ پریشانی میں رہو گے تم اپنی زندگی کے متعلق کبھی مطمئن نہیں رہو گے۔
67 صبح تم کہو گے اچھا ہو تا یہ شام ہو تی شام کو تم کہو گے اچھا ہو تا کہ یہ سویرا ہو تا۔ کیوں ؟ کیوں کہ اس ڈر کی وجہ جو تمہا رے دل میں ہو گا اور ان آفتوں کے سبب جو تم دیکھو گے۔ 68 “خداوند تمہیں جہازوں میں مصر واپس بھیجے گا۔ میں نے یہ کہا کہ تم اس جگہ پر دوبارہ کبھی نہیں جا ؤ گے لیکن خداوند تمہیں بھیجے گا اور وہاں تم اپنے کو دشمنوں کے ہا تھ غلام کی طرح بیچنے کی کوشش کرو گے۔ لیکن کو ئی شخص تمہیں نہیں خریدے گا۔”
My point of view about above verses
God told when you entered the land I promised to give you and have crossed Jordan – set up some large stones on Mount Ebal and coat them with plaster and write on them all the words of this law –
God want us that His laws and decrees which He gave should be before our eyes all the time so that we are inclined to implement to live a happy and joyful life
Following blessings and curses has to be pronounced from Mount Gerizim and Mount Ebal respectively – by Israelites tribes
God told about curses if you do not obey your Lord – then you will be scatterd in entire world and you will worship their gods, you will find no resting place and sold as slaves to others, if you will not obey my laws and decrees
How terrible it is for mankind to stand against God, their days and nights will be cursed and everything will be cursed whatever they are doing
As people of God we have to be resposible for our actions - if we obey His commandments, there are blessings for us - otherwise curses
Our God wants us to spend a joyful life on earth, only we need to follow what He says and believe me there is happiness around us - Righteous acts brings happiness for us - Lets do and enjoy life
-These are the orders given by God for our ultimate good and we all have to follow
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives
