Judges; Chapter 2 Verse 20-23
20 Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel and said, “Because this nation has violated the covenant I ordained for their ancestors and has not listened to me, 21 I will no longer drive out before them any of the nations Joshua left when he died. 22 I will use them to test Israel and see whether they will keep the way of the Lord and walk in it as their ancestors did.” 23 The Lord had allowed those nations to remain; he did not drive them out at once by giving them into the hands of Joshua.
20 اس طرح بنی اسرا ئیلیوں پر خداوند بہت غصّہ ہوا اور ا س نے کہا ، “اس ملک کے لوگوں نے معاہدہ کو تو ڑا ہے جسے میں نے ان کے باپ دادا کے ساتھ کیا تھا۔ انہوں نے میری نہیں سنی۔ 21 اس لئے میں انلوگوں کے لئے ، اب اور اس ملک کے قوموں میں سے کسی کو بھی جسے یشوع چھو ڑ کر مرے شکست نہیں دوں گا۔ 22 میں ان قوموں کا استعمال بنی اسرا ئیلیوں کی جانچ کے لئے کروں گا میں یہ دیکھوں گا کہ بنی اسرا ئیل اپنے خداوند کا حکم ویسا ہی مانتے ہیں یا نہیں جیسا کہ اُن کے باپ دادا مانتے تھے۔” 23 گزرے وقتوں میں خداوند نے ا ن قوموں کو ان ملکو ں میں رہنے دیا تھا۔ خداوند نے جلدی سے ان قوموں کو اپنا ملک نہیں چھو ڑنے دیا۔ اس نے انہیں شکست دینے میں یشوع کی فوج کی مدد نہیں کی۔
My point of view about above verses
Lord became very angry with Israel and said as this nation has violated the covenant I made with their ancestors – I will no longer drive other nations out and will test Israel through them whether they follow the way of the Lord as their ancestors did
If we worship someone else other than God, and not obey his commandments He will left us on the mercy of others and test us throuhj other people - our life will become miserable
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
