Judges; Chapter 6 Verse 33-38
33 Now all the Midianites, Amalekites and other eastern peoples joined forces and crossed over the Jordan and camped in the Valley of Jezreel. 34 Then the Spirit of the Lord came on Gideon, and he blew a trumpet, summoning the Abiezrites to follow him. 35 He sent messengers throughout Manasseh, calling them to arms, and also into Asher, Zebulun and Naphtali, so that they too went up to meet them.
36 Gideon said to God, “If you will save Israel by my hand as you have promised— 37 look, I will place a wool fleece on the threshing floor. If there is dew only on the fleece and all the ground is dry, then I will know that you will save Israel by my hand, as you said.” 38 And that is what happened. Gideon rose early the next day; he squeezed the fleece and wrung out the dew—a bowlful of water.
جِدعون کا مدیان کے لوگوں کو شکست دینا
33 مدیانی، عمالیقی اور مشرق کے دوسرے لوگ بنی اسرائیلیوں کے خلاف جنگ کر نے کے لئے ایک ساتھ ملے۔ وہ لوگ دریائے یردن کے پار گئے۔ اور انہوں نے یزر عیل کی وادی میں خیمے ڈالے۔ 34 لیکن جدعون پر خدا وند کی روح اتری اور اسے بڑی طاقت عطا کی جِد عون ابیعزر لوگوں کو اپنے ساتھ چلنے کے لئے بگل بجایا۔ 35 اسی دوران جدعون نے منسّی خاندانی گروہ کے تمام لوگوں کے پاس قاصد بھیجے۔ ان قاصدو ں نے منسی کے لوگوں سے اپنے ہتھیار نکالنے اور جنگ کے لئے تیار ہو نے کو کہا۔ جد عون نے آشر ، زبولون اور نفتالی کے خاندانی گروہوں کے لوگوں کے پاس بھی وہی پیغام بھیجے۔ قاصد اس پیغام کو ان لوگوں کے پاس لے گئے۔ اس لئے وہ خاندانی گروہ بھی جِد عون اور اسکے آدمیوں سے ملنے گئے۔
6 تب جد عون نے خدا وند سے کہا ، “تو نے مجھ سے کہا کہ تو بنی اسرائیلیوں کی حفاظت کرنے میں میری مدد کریگا مجھے ثبوت دے۔ 37 میں کھلیان کے فرش پر بھیڑ کا اون رکھتا ہوں اگر صرف بھیڑ کے اون پر شبنم کی بوند ہوگی جبکہ ساری زمین سوکھی ہے تب سمجھوں گا کہ تو اپنے کہنے کے مطا بق میرا استعمال اِسرائیل کی حفاظت کرنے میں کریگا۔”
38 اور یہ بالکل ویسا ہی ہوا۔ جِدعون اگلی صبح اٹھا اور بھیڑ کے اون کو نچوڑا۔ وہ بھیڑ کے اون سے پیالہ بھر پانی نچوڑ سکا۔
My point of view about above verses
Lord became very angry with Israel and said as this nation has violated the covenant I made with their ancestors – I will no longer drive other nations out and will test Israel through them whether they follow the way of the Lord as their ancestors did
God gave Gideon the resposibility to save Israelites from Midianites, Amalekites and other eastern peoples and Gideon want to make sure that is it fact that God want to use him against these nations
Gideon tested / argue with God that if I have to save Israel then let the dew be on wool fleece only i am putting outside and all other things remain dry and God did what he said -
When we returns to God, he plans for our rescue, He let us argue with him and test Him as Gideon did
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
