2Samuel ; Chapter 12 Verse 1-10
The Lord sent Nathan to David. When he came to him, he said, “There were two men in a certain town, one rich and the other poor. 2 The rich man had a very large number of sheep and cattle, 3 but the poor man had nothing except one little ewe lamb he had bought. He raised it, and it grew up with him and his children. It shared his food, drank from his cup and even slept in his arms. It was like a daughter to him.
4 “Now a traveler came to the rich man, but the rich man refrained from taking one of his own sheep or cattle to prepare a meal for the traveler who had come to him. Instead, he took the ewe lamb that belonged to the poor man and prepared it for the one who had come to him.”
5 David burned with anger against the man and said to Nathan, “As surely as the Lord lives, the man who did this must die! 6 He must pay for that lamb four times over, because he did such a thing and had no pity.”
7 Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man! This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. 8 I gave your master’s house to you, and your master’s wives into your arms. I gave you all Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more. 9 Why did you despise the word of the Lord by doing what is evil in his eyes? You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife to be your own. You killed him with the sword of the Ammonites. 10 Now, therefore, the sword will never depart from your house, because you despised me and took the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your own.’
ناتن کا داؤد سے بات چیت کرنا
12 خداوند نے ناتن کو داؤد کے پا س بھیجا۔ ناتن داؤد کے پاس گیا۔ ناتن نے کہا ، “شہر میں دو آدمی تھے۔ ایک مالدار تھا لیکن دوسرا آدمی غریب تھا۔ 2 مالدار آدمی کے پاس بہت سارے مویشی اور بھیڑ تھیں۔ 3 لیکن غریب آدمی کے پاس کچھ نہ تھا سوائے ایک چھو ٹے مادہ میمنے کے جو اس نے خریدا تھا۔ غریب آدمی نے اس میمنے کی پر ورش کی۔ یہ اس کے گھر میں اس کے بچوں کے ساتھ بڑا ہوا اور اس کے کھانے سے کھا یا اور اس کے پیالے سے پیا۔ یہ اس غریب آدمی کے سینہ سے لگ کر سوتا تھا۔ میمنہ غریب آدمی کی بیٹی کی طرح تھا۔
4 “تب ایک مسافر مالدار آدمی کے پاس ٹھہر نے آیا۔ مالدار آدمی نے مسافر کو کھانا کھلا نا چا ہا لیکن مالدار آدمی اپنی بھیڑوں یا مویشیوں میں سے ایک کو بھی مسافر کے کھانے کے لئے ذبح کرنا نہیں چا ہا۔ بلکہ مالدار آدمی نے غریب آدمی سے میمنہ لیا اور اس میمنہ کو ذبح کیا اور مہمان کے لئے پکا یا۔
5 داؤد مالدار آدمی کے خلاف بہت ناراض ہوا۔ اس نے ناتن سے کہا ، “خداوند کی حیات کی قسم جس آدمی نے یہ کیا اسے مرنا چا ہئے۔ 6 اس کو میمنہ کی قیمت کا چار گنا ادا کرنا چا ہئے کیوں کہ اس نے بھیانک گناہ کیا ہے اور اس نے کسی بھی طرح کا رحم نہیں دکھا یا۔”
ناتن کا داؤد کو اس کے گناہ کے متعلق کہنا
7 تب ناتن نے داؤد سے کہا ، “تم وہ مالدار آدمی ہو یہ خداوند اسرا ئیل کا خدا کہتا ہے ، “میں نے تم کو اسرا ئیل کا بادشاہ بننے کے لئے چنا میں نے تم کوساؤل سے بچا یا۔ 8 میں نے تم کو تمہا رے آقا کے گھر کو اور اس کی بیو یوں کو لینے دیا اور میں نے تم کو اسرا ئیل اور یہوداہ کا بادشاہ بنا یا۔ اگر تم زیادہ چاہتے تو میں تم کو اور زیادہ دیتا۔ 9 پھر تم نے خداوند کے حکم کو کیوں نظر انداز کیا ؟ تم نے وہ چیز کیوں کی جس کو وہ بُرا کہتا ہے ؟ تم نے عمونیوں کو اور یاّہ حتیّ کو کیوں مارنے دیا۔ اور تم نے اس کی بیوی کو لے لیا اس طرح تم نے اور یاّہ کو تلوار سے مارڈا لا۔ 10 اس لئے تلوار تمہا رے خاندان کو کبھی نہ چھوڑے گی۔ کیونکہ تم نے مجھے حقیر جانا اور تم نے اور یاّہ حتیّ کی بیوی کولیا اور اپنی بیوی بنا یا۔”
My point of view about above verses
David showed his love and reverence towards God - and God responded by making his name in the world and his kingdom in world will never cease - This is God's promise to David
When David bring Uriah’s wife to his house he displeased the Lord -
God became angry with David because he took the wife of Uriah the Hittite and killed him with the sword of Ammonites. God punished David and said Now therefore the sword will never depart from your house as you despised me
God is just and He want everyone to obey Him fully - otherwise He punished
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
