1 Kings ; Chapter 22 Verse 14 - 17
14 But Micaiah said, “As surely as the Lord lives, I can tell him only what the Lord tells me.”
15 When he arrived, the king asked him, “Micaiah, shall we go to war against Ramoth Gilead, or not?”
“Attack and be victorious,” he answered, “for the Lord will give it into the king’s hand.”
16 The king said to him, “How many times must I make you swear to tell me nothing but the truth in the name of the Lord?”
17 Then Micaiah answered, “I saw all Israel scattered on the hills like sheep without a shepherd, and the Lord said, ‘These people have no master. Let each one go home in peace.’”
14 لیکن میکایاہ نے جواب دیا ، “نہیں ! خدا وند کی حیات کی قسم میں وہی باتیں کہتا ہوں جو خدا وند مجھ سے کہنے کے لئے کہتا ہے۔”
15 تب میکایاہ بادشاہ اخی اب کے سامنے کھڑا رہا۔ بادشاہ نے اس کو پو چھا میکایاہ ، “کیا مجھے اور بادشاہ یہوسفط کو فوج میں شامل رہنا ہوگا اور کیا ہم کو اب رامات میں ارام کی فوج کے خلاف لڑ نا ہوگا ؟”
میکایاہ نے جواب دیا ، “ہا ں تمہیں جانا ہوگا اور اب ان سے لڑ نا ہوگا خدا وند تمہیں جیتنے دیں گے۔”
16 لیکن اخی اب نے جواب دیا ، “تم خدا وند کی قوت سے نہیں کہہ رہے ہو تم اپنے ہی الفاظ کہہ رہے ہو اس لئے مجھ سے سچائی کہو۔ مجھے کتنی بار تم سے کہنا ہوگا۔ مجھے کہو کہ خدا وند کیا کہتا ہے۔”
17 میکایاہ نے جواب دیا ، “میں دیکھ سکتا ہوں کہ کیا ہوگا۔ اسرائیل کی فوج پہاڑ یوں پر منتشر ہوجائے گی وہ بغیر کسی راستہ بتانے والے کے بھیڑوں کی طرح ہونگے یہی کچھ خدا وند کہتا ہے ، “ان آدمیوں کا کوئی قائد نہیں ہے انہیں لڑ نا نہیں گھر جانا ہوگا۔”
My point of view about above verses
Its God who leads his people through his prophets - who spoke to kings on behalf of God - Our aim should be to stay in touch with Him to ask
King Ahab asked Micaiah shall we go to war against Ramoth – ask Lord for us – he told I saw all Israel scattered on hills like sheep without a sphered and Lord said these people have no master- let each one go home in peace
Its God who guides people what to do - we need to follow Him through His word
Its God only who is all knowing and He tells us what to do and how to procced
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
