2 Kings ; Chapter 19 verse 1-7
Jerusalem’s Deliverance Foretold
When King Hezekiah heard this, he tore his clothes and put on sackcloth and went into the temple of the Lord. 2 He sent Eliakim the palace administrator, Shebna the secretary and the leading priests, all wearing sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz. 3 They told him, “This is what Hezekiah says: This day is a day of distress and rebuke and disgrace, as when children come to the moment of birth and there is no strength to deliver them. 4 It may be that the Lord your God will hear all the words of the field commander, whom his master, the king of Assyria, has sent to ridicule the living God, and that he will rebuke him for the words the Lord your God has heard. Therefore pray for the remnant that still survives.”
5 When King Hezekiah’s officials came to Isaiah, 6 Isaiah said to them, “Tell your master, ‘This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid of what you have heard—those words with which the underling of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. 7 Listen! When he hears a certain report, I will make him want to return to his own country, and there I will have him cut down with the sword.’”
حزقیاہ یسعیاہ نبی سے بات کرتا ہے
19 جب بادشاہ حزقیاہ ان چیزوں کو سنا اس نے اس کے کپڑے پھاڑ لئے اور موٹے کپڑے ڈا ل لئے جو ظاہر کرتے کہ وہ غمزدہ اور پریشان ہے۔ پھر وہ خداوند کی ہیکل میں گیا۔
2 بادشاہ حزقیاہ نے الیا قیم ( الیاقیم شاہی محل کا نگراں کار ) شبناہ ( معتمد) اور بزرگ کا ہنوں کو آموص کے بیٹے یسعیاہ نبی کے پاس بھیجا وہ ٹاٹ کے کپڑے پہنے تھے جو ظاہر کرتے تھے کہ وہ غمزدہ اور پریشان ہیں۔
3 انہوں نے یسعیاہ سے کہا، “حزقیاہ کہتا ہے ، ’ یہ مصیبت کا دن ہے۔ یہ دن بتا تا ہے کہ ہم بُرے ہیں۔ بچے کے پیدا ہو نے کی طرح کا وقت ہے لیکن ولادت کی طاقت نہیں ہے۔ 4 سپہ سالار کا آقا اسُور کا بادشاہ ،اس کو زندہ خدا کے بارے میں بُری باتیں کہنے کیلئے بھیجا۔ہو سکتا ہے خداوند تمہارا خدا اُن تمام چیزوں کو سنے گا یہ بھی ممکن ہو سکتا ہے کہ خداوند دشمن کو سزادے۔اس لئے ان لوگوں کے واسطے دعا کرو جو اب زمین پر بچیں گے۔”‘
5 بادشاہ حزقیاہ کے افسران یسعیاہ کے پا س گئے۔ 6 یسعیاہ نے ان کو کہا ، “تمہارے آقا کو یہ پیغام دو : ’خداوند کہتا ہے : ان باتوں سے مت ڈرو جنہیں اسور کے بادشاہ کے افسران نے میرا مذاق اڑاتے ہو ئے کہا ہے۔” 7 میں اس کے دل میں ایسا جذبہ پیدا کرو ں گا جس سے وہ ایک ا فواہ سنے گا پھر وہ واپس اپنے ملک کو بھا گے گا۔اور میں اسے اس کے ملک میں تلوار کے گھاٹ اُتروادوں گا۔”
My point of view about above verses
God was with Hezekiah king as he followed Lord’s commands – There was no one like him among all the kings of Judah
King Hezekiah tore his clothes because of the word of field commander of king Assyria sent to ridicule God but Lord said don’t be afraid – when he hears a certain report he will return to his country and there I will cut him down with the sword
God remains with people and cares for them who obey Him and worship Him whole heartedly
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
