2 Kings ; Chapter 19 verse 29-35
Isaiah Prophesies Sennacherib’s Fall
29 “This will be the sign for you, Hezekiah:
“This year you will eat what grows by itself, and the second year what springs from that. But in the third year sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat their fruit. 30 Once more a remnant of the kingdom of Judah will take root below and bear fruit above. 31 For out of Jerusalem will come a remnant, and out of Mount Zion a band of survivors.
“The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.
32 “Therefore this is what the Lord says concerning the king of Assyria:
“‘He will not enter this city or shoot an arrow here. He will not come before it with shield or build a siege ramp against it. 33 By the way that he came he will return; he will not enter this city, declares the Lord. 34 I will defend this city and save it, for my sake and for the sake of David my servant.’”
35 That night the angel of the Lord went out and put to death a hundred and eighty-five thousand in the Assyrian camp. When the people got up the next morning—there were all the dead bodies! 36 So Sennacherib king of Assyria broke camp and withdrew. He returned to Nineveh and stayed there.
حزقیاہ کے لئے خداوند کا پیغام
29 “ یہ نشان یہ ثابت کرنے کے لئے ہو گا کہ میں تمہا ری مدد کروں گا۔اِس سال تم یہ اناج کھا ؤ گے جو خود سے اُگتا ہے۔دوسرے سال تم وہ اناج کھا ؤ گے جواس بیج سے نکلتا ہے۔تیسرے سال ان بیجوں سے اناج جمع کروگے جو تم نے بوئے تھے۔ تم انگور کے پودے لگا ؤ گے اور ان سے انگور کھا ؤگے۔ 30 “ اور یہودا ہ کے خاندان کے جو لوگ بچ گئے ہیں وہ پھر پھو لے پھلیں گے بالکل اسی طرح جس طرح پودا اپنی جڑیں مضبوط کرلینے پر ہی پھل دیتا ہے۔ 31 کیو ں کہ کچھ لوگ زندہ رہیں گے وہ یروشلم کے باہر چلے جا ئیں گے۔جولوگ بھاگ کر صیون کی پہاڑی سے باہرجا ئیں گے۔خداوندقادر مطلق کی جانفشانی اس کو پورا کرے گی۔
32 اس لئے خداوند اسور کے بادشا ہ کے متعلق یہ کہتا ہے:
وہ ا س شہر میں نہیں آئے گا۔ وہ اس شہر میں ایک تیر بھی نہیں چلا ئے گا۔ وہ ا س شہر میں اپنی ڈھال نہیں لا ئے گا۔ وہ شہر کی دیواروں پر حملے کے لئے مٹی کے
ٹیلے نہیں بنا ئے گا۔
33 وہ واپس جا ئے گا اسی راستے سے جس سے وہ آیا تھا۔
وہ اس شہر میں نہیں آئے گا۔خداوند یہ کہتا ہے !
34 میں اس شہر کی حفاظت کروں گا اور اس کو بچا ؤں گا۔
میں یہ اپنے لئے اور اپنے خادم داؤد کے لئے کروں گا۔”
اسوری فوج کی تباہی
35 اس رات خداوند کا فرشتہ باہر گیا اور اسوریوں کے خیمہ میں داخل ہوا۔فرشتے نے ۱۸۵۰۰۰ لوگو ں کو مارڈا لا۔ جب بچے ہو ئے سپاہی صبح اٹھے تو انہو ں نے تمام لاشوں کو دیکھا۔
My point of view about above verses
God was with Hezekiah king as he followed Lord’s commands – There was no one like him among all the kings of Judah
King Hezekiah tore his clothes because of the word of field commander of king Assyria sent to ridicule God but Lord said don’t be afraid – when he hears a certain report he will return to his country and there I will cut him down with the sword
God heard Hezekiak prayer concerning king of Assyria and replied
That night angel of Lord killed 185,000 men in Assyrian camp so King broke the camp and withdrew
God remains with people and cares for them who obey Him and worship Him whole heartedly - God knows how to rescue us when we are in trouble
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
