1 Chronicles ; Chapter 17 verse 7-10
God’s Promise to David
7 “Now then, tell my servant David, ‘This is what the Lord Almighty says: I took you from the pasture, from tending the flock, and appointed you ruler over my people Israel. 8 I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have cut off all your enemies from before you. Now I will make your name like the names of the greatest men on earth. 9 And I will provide a place for my people Israel and will plant them so that they can have a home of their own and no longer be disturbed. Wicked people will not oppress them anymore, as they did at the beginning 10 and have done ever since the time I appointed leaders over my people Israel. I will also subdue all your enemies.
7 “اب تم میرے خادم داؤد سے کہو : خداوند قادر مطلق تم سے کہتا ہے ، ’میں نے تم کو بھیڑوں کے چرنے کے میدان سے لیا اور میرے بنی اسرائیلیوں کا حکمراں بنا یا۔” 8 تم جہاں بھی گئے میں تمہا رے ساتھ تھا میں نے تمہا رے سامنے تمہا رے سبھی دشمنوں کو کا ٹ ڈا لا۔ اب میں تمہیں زمین پر سب سے عظیم آدمیوں کی طرح مشہور کرو ں گا۔ 9 اور میں اپنے بنی اسرائیلیوں کو ایک جگہ دوں گا۔ اور میں ان لوگوں کو وہاں پر بسا ؤں گا۔ وہ لوگ وہاں رہیں گے اور وہ لوگ اور مزید پریشان نہیں کئے جا ئیں گے۔ اور اب سے شریر لوگ ان لوگوں پر ظلم نہیں ڈھائیں گے جیسا کہ پہلے وہ لوگ کئے تھے۔ 10 اس وقت سے جب میں نے اپنے بنی اسرائیلیوں کے اوپر قائدین بحال کیا۔میں تمہا رے تمام دشمنوں کو بھی ہراؤں گا۔
My point of view about above verses
When David showed intention to built a house for God - God said from the day i brought Isralites out of Egypt - i did not dwell in a house neither i asked any leader of Isralites to build a house for me
However He promised with David for a homeland for Isralites
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
