2 Chronicles ; Chapter 7 verse 13-16
The Lord Appears to Solomon
13 “When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, 14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. 16 I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there.
خدا وند کا سلیمان کے پاس آنا
“سلیمان ! میں نے تمہاری دعا سُنی ہے اور میں نے اس جگہ کو اپنے لئے قربانی کے گھر کے طور پر چنا ہے۔ 13 جب میں آسمان کو بند کرتا ہوں تو بارش نہیں ہوتی یا میں ٹڈیوں کو حکم دیتا ہوں کہ فصلوں کو تباہ کردو۔ 14 اور اگر میرے نام سے پکارے جانے والے لوگ خاکسار ہوتے اور دعا کرتے ہیں اور مجھے ڈھونڈتے ہیں اور برے راستوں سے دور ہٹ جاتے ہیں تو میں جنت سے انکی سنوں گا اور میں انکے گناہ کو معاف کروں گا اور انکے ملک میں خوشحالی لاؤنگا۔ 15 اب میری آنکھیں کھلی ہیں اور میرے کان اس جگہ کی گئی دعاؤں پر دھیان دیگا۔ 16 میں نے اس ہیکل کو چنا ہے اور میں نے اسے پاک کیا ہے جس سے میرا نام یہاں ہمیشہ رہے۔ ہاں ! میری آنکھیں اور میرا دل اس ہیکل میں ہمیشہ رہے گا۔
My point of view about above verses
When Solomon finished prayer, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the glory of Lord filled the temple
When we make offerings to God with prayer - His glory filled the place and us
God heard Solomon prayer and said I have chosen this place for myself as a temple for sacrifice
God told Solomon when I closed rains or brought famine on ground but if my people humble themselves and turn from their wicked ways then I will hear them and forgive them and heal their land – all prayers which are offered at this temple will be heard as I have chosen this temple for my name forever. My eyes and heart will always be there
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
