2 Chronicles ; Chapter 11 verse 2-4
2 But this word of the Lord came to Shemaiah the man of God: 3 “Say to Rehoboam son of Solomon king of Judah and to all Israel in Judah and Benjamin, 4 ‘This is what the Lord says: Do not go up to fight against your fellow Israelites. Go home, every one of you, for this is my doing.’” So they obeyed the words of the Lord and turned back from marching against Jeroboam.
لیکن خدا وند کا پیغام سمعیاہ کے پاس آیا۔ سمعیاہ خدا کا آدمی تھا۔ 3 خدا وند نے کہا ، “سمعیاہ یہوداہ کے بادشاہ سلیمان کے بیٹے رحبعام سے بات کرو اور یہوداہ اور بنیمین میں رہنے والے سبھی بنی اسرائیلیوں سے بات کرو۔ 4 ان سے کہو خدا وند یہ کہتا ہے : ’تمہیں اپنے بھا ئیوں کے خلاف نہیں لڑ نا چاہئے۔ ہر آدمی اپنے گھر واپس چلا جائے۔ میں نے ہی ایسا ہو نے دیا ہے۔‘” اس لئے بادشاہ رحبعام اور اسکی فوج نے خدا وند کا پیغام مانا اور وہ واپس ہو گئے انہوں نے یربعام پر حملہ نہیں کیا۔
My point of view about above verses
Rehoboam did not listen the advice of elders but younger people as it was from God side
God told Shemaiah that tell Rehoboam king of Judah and resident there that don’t fight against your fellow Israelites – go home as what is been done is from my side
and they obeyed what God said
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
