2 Chronicles ; Chapter 18 verse 28 - 34
Ahab Killed at Ramoth Gilead
28 So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah went up to Ramoth Gilead. 29 The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “I will enter the battle in disguise, but you wear your royal robes.” So the king of Israel disguised himself and went into battle.
30 Now the king of Aram had ordered his chariot commanders, “Do not fight with anyone, small or great, except the king of Israel.” 31 When the chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat, they thought, “This is the king of Israel.” So they turned to attack him, but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the Lord helped him. God drew them away from him, 32 for when the chariot commanders saw that he was not the king of Israel, they stopped pursuing him.
33 But someone drew his bow at random and hit the king of Israel between the breastplate and the scale armor. The king told the chariot driver, “Wheel around and get me out of the fighting. I’ve been wounded.” 34 All day long the battle raged, and the king of Israel propped himself up in his chariot facing the Arameans until evening. Then at sunset he died.
اخی اب جِلعاد کے رامات میں مارا جا تا ہے
28 اس لئے اسرائیل کا بادشاہ اخی اب اور یہوداہ کا بادشاہ یہوسفط جلعاد کے رامات شہر پر حملہ کیا۔ 29 اس لئے کہ بادشاہ اخی اب نے یہوسفط سے کہا، “میں جنگ میں جانے سے پہلے اپنی شکل بدل لوں گا لیکن تم اپنے شاہی لباس ہی کو پہنے رہنا۔” اس لئے اسرائیل کے بادشاہ اخی اب نے اپنی شکل بدل لی اور دونوں بادشاہ جنگ میں گئے۔ 30 ارام کے بادشا ہ نے اپنی رتھوں کے رتھ بانوں کو حکم دیا اور اس نے ان کو کہا، “کو ئی بھی آدمی چا ہے بڑا ہو یا چھو ٹا اس سے جنگ نہ کرو لیکن صرف اسرائیل کے بادشاہ اخی اب سے جنگ کرو۔ ” 31 اب رتھ بانوں نے یہوسفط کو دیکھا انہو ں نے سوچا ، “وہی اسرائیل کا بادشا ہ ا خی اب ہے !” وہ یہوسفط پر حملہ کرنے کے لئے اس کی طرف پلٹے لیکن یہوسفط نے پُکارا اور خداوند نے اس کی مدد کی۔خدا نے رتھوں کے سپہ سالارو ں کو یہوسفط کے سامنے سے موڑدیا۔ 32 جب انہوں نے سمجھا کہ یہوسفط اسرائیل کا بادشا ہ نہیں ہے انہوں نے اس کا پیچھا کر نا چھوڑدیا۔
33 لیکن ایک فو جی کا بغیر کسی ارادے کے اس کی کمان سے تیر نکل گیا اور وہ تیر اسرائیل کے بادشاہ اخی اب کو لگا۔ یہ تیر اخی اب کے زرہ بکتر کے کھلے حصّے میں لگا۔اخی اب نے رتھ بان سے کہا ، “پلٹ جا ؤ اور مجھے جنگ سے باہر لے چلو میں زخمی ہوں۔” 34 اس دن جنگ بُری طرح لڑی گئی۔اخی اب نے ا رامیوں کا سامنا کرتے ہو ئے شام تک خود کو اپنی رتھ میں سنبھالے رکھا۔تب اخی اب سورج غروب ہو نے پر مر گیا۔
My point of view about above verses
Lord was with Jehosaphat as he followed the ways of his father David and obeyed God’s commands and decrees
When king of Israel and Judah enquired from Micaiah to go for war against Ramoth Gilead he said I saw all Israelites scatters on the hills like sheep without a shepherd and Lord said that have no master – let each one go home in peace
Micaiah told king of Israelite I saw LORD sitting on throne and asking who will entice Ahab king of Israel to attack Ramoth Gilead so he will die there
Prophets spirits said to Lord that we will entice him so that he should go into war and God said go ahead as He has decreed disaster for him
King of Aram tried to kill king of Judah thinking he is king of Israel but God helped him so they turned to attack him
and finally king of Isreal died in war as God told through his prophet Micaiah
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
