2 Chronicles ; Chapter 20 verse 24- 26
Jehoshaphat Defeats Moab and Ammon
24 When the men of Judah came to the place that overlooks the desert and looked toward the vast army, they saw only dead bodies lying on the ground; no one had escaped. 25 So Jehoshaphat and his men went to carry off their plunder, and they found among them a great amount of equipment and clothing and also articles of value—more than they could take away. There was so much plunder that it took three days to collect it. 26 On the fourth day they assembled in the Valley of Berakah, where they praised the Lord. This is why it is called the Valley of Berakah to this day.
24 یہوداہ کے لوگ ریگستان میں نقطہٴ دید پر آئے۔ انہوں نے دشمن کی بڑی فوج کو تلاش کیا لیکن انہوں نے زمین پر صرف مرے ہوئے لوگوں کی لاشیں دیکھیں۔ کو ئی آدمی زندہ بھاگ نہیں پایا تھا۔ 25 یہو سفط اور اسکی فوج ان لاشوں سے قیمتی چیزیں لینے آئے۔ انہیں کثرت سے دولت ، کپڑے ،کئی ساز و سامان اور قیمتی چیزیں ملیں۔ یہو سفط اور اسکی فوج نے اپنے لئے وہ چیزیں لے لیں۔ وہ لوگ چیزیں اس وقت تک لوٹتے رہے جب وہ اور نہیں لے جا سکتے تھے۔ ان لاشوں سے قیمتی چیزیں جمع کر نے میں تین دن لگے کیوں کہ وہ بہت ہی زیادہ تھے۔ 26 چوتھے دن یہو سفط اور اس کی فوج ’برا کاہ کی وادی ‘ میں ملے۔ کیوں کہ وہاں انہوں نے خدا وند کی حمد کی اس لئے آج تک یہ جگہ ’ براکاہ کی وادی‘ سے جانا جاتا ہے۔
My point of view about above verses
Lord was with Jehosaphat as he followed the ways of his father David and obeyed God’s commands and decrees
God's people seek help from God in situations of distress - They cry for help and God listens to His people
God fights for His people and knows how to save them
We need to trust Him and give Him thanks always
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
