Leviticus 23 verse 23 - 25
The Appointed Festivals
The Festival of Trumpets
23 The Lord said to Moses, 24 “Say to the Israelites: ‘On the first day of the seventh month you are to have a day of Sabbath rest, a sacred assembly commemorated with trumpet blasts. 25 Do no regular work, but present a food offering to the Lord.’”
My point of view about above verses
The Festival of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah) is the 5th feast of Isralites to be celebrated on first day of seventh month (Tishri) - On this day trumpets are blown to call God's people to worship him together - And also present a food offering made by fire to the Lord - They are stopped to do any regular works so that they can be in God's presence with full concentration
God wants his people to remember what bigger things he has done for them and celebrate these events as gratitude to Him - And also offer him thanks giving for his blessings
We need to live in this world as God wants us to live - we have to do what he is telling us to do-
May God inclined us to obey his words to lead our lives the way God wants us to live on this earth -
May God bless all those who are obeying His commandments
