1Samuel ; Chapter 23 Verse 3-6
David Saves Keilah
3 But David’s men said to him, “Here in Judah we are afraid. How much more, then, if we go to Keilah against the Philistine forces!”
4 Once again David inquired of the Lord, and the Lord answered him, “Go down to Keilah, for I am going to give the Philistines into your hand.” 5 So David and his men went to Keilah, fought the Philistines and carried off their livestock. He inflicted heavy losses on the Philistines and saved the people of Keilah. 6 (Now Abiathar son of Ahimelek had brought the ephod down with him when he fled to David at Keilah.)
3 لیکن داؤد کے آدمیوں نے کہا ، “دیکھو ہم یہاں یہوداہ میں ہیں اور ہم خوف زدہ ہیں۔ ذرا سوچو تو سہی کہ ہم جب وہاں جا ئیں گے جہاں فلسطینی فوج ہے کتنے ڈرے ہو ئے ہوں گے۔”
4 داؤد نے دوبارہ خداوند سے پو چھا اور خداودنے داؤد کو جواب دیا ، “قعیلہ کو جا ؤ فلسطینیوں کو شکست دو میں تمہا ری مدد کروں گا۔” 5 اس لئے داؤد اور اس کے آدمی قعیلہ گئے۔ داؤد کے آدمیوں نے فلسطینیوں کو شکست دی اور ان کے مویشی لے لئے۔ اس طرح داؤد نے قعیلہ کے لوگوں کو بچا یا۔ 6 ( جب ابی یاتر داؤد کے پاس بھاگ کر گیا تھا توابی یاتر نے ایک چغّہ اپنے ساتھ لیا تھا۔ )
My point of view about above verses
David inquired Lord shall I attack Philistines as they are fighting against Keilah and Lord said yes go and attack Philistines and save Keilah
God told David I am handing over Philistines into your hand so go down to Keilah – so David went with his men and inflicted heavy losses on Philistines and carried off all their live stock
Daud inquires God and God answered
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
