1Samuel ; Chapter 26 Verse 7 - 12
7 So David and Abishai went to the army by night, and there was Saul, lying asleep inside the camp with his spear stuck in the ground near his head. Abner and the soldiers were lying around him.
8 Abishai said to David, “Today God has delivered your enemy into your hands. Now let me pin him to the ground with one thrust of the spear; I won’t strike him twice.”
9 But David said to Abishai, “Don’t destroy him! Who can lay a hand on the Lord’s anointed and be guiltless? 10 As surely as the Lord lives,” he said, “the Lord himself will strike him, or his time will come and he will die, or he will go into battle and perish. 11 But the Lord forbid that I should lay a hand on the Lord’s anointed. Now get the spear and water jug that are near his head, and let’s go.”
12 So David took the spear and water jug near Saul’s head, and they left. No one saw or knew about it, nor did anyone wake up. They were all sleeping, because the Lord had put them into a deep sleep.
7 رات ہوئی داؤد اور ابیشے ساؤل کی چھا ؤنی میں گئے۔ وہاں ساؤل اپنی چھاؤنی کے بیچ میں بہت گہری نیند میں تھا۔ اور اس کا بھا لا اس کے سر کے قریب زمین میں دھنسا ہوا تھا۔ ابنیر اور دوسرے سپا ہی ساؤل کے اطراف سوئے ہو ئے تھے۔ 8 ابیشے نے داؤد سے کہا ، “آج خدا نے تمہارے دشمن کو شکست دینے کا موقع دیا ہے۔ مجھے اس کے ہی بھا لا سے اسے ایک ہی جھٹکا میں زمین میں پیوست کر دینے دو۔ دوسرے وار کی ضرورت نہیں ہو گی۔”
9 لیکن داؤد نے ابیشے سے کہا ، “ساؤل کو مت مارو۔ کوئی بھی ایسا نہیں ہے جو خدا وند کے چُنے ہو ئے بادشاہ پر حملہ کرے اور بے گناہ رہے۔ 10 خدا وند کی حیات کی قسم ، خدا وند خود ساؤل کو سزا دیگا۔ ہو سکتا ہے ساؤل فطری موت مرے یا ہو سکتا ہے ساؤل جنگ میں مارا جائے۔ 11
11 لیکن میں دعا کرتا ہوں کہ خدا وند مجھے اس کے ذریعہ چُنے گئے بادشاہ کے خلاف ہاتھ اٹھا نے نہ دے۔ اب بھا لا اور پانی کا مرتبان اس کے سر کے پاس سے اٹھا ؤ اور یہاں سے باہر چلیں۔”
12 اس لئے داؤد نے پانی کا مرتبان اور بھا لا لیا جو ساؤل کے سر کے قریب تھا۔ تب دونوں نے ساؤل کی چھا ؤنی کو چھوڑا کسی نے نہیں جانا کہ کیا ہوا۔ کسی نے نہ دیکھا اور نہ کوئی جاگا۔ ساؤل اور اسکے سپا ہی سو گئے تھے کیوں کہ خدا وند نے ان پر گہری نیند طا ری کردی تھی۔
My point of view about above verses
Lord put Saul and his army into deep sleep when David and his companion Abishai passed from him and his army- however David didn't lay his hand on God’s anointed Saul
It is God who make our works easy or difficult - we only be still and see what marvellous things He is doing for us -
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
