1Samuel ; Chapter 30 Verse 3-8
3 When David and his men reached Ziklag, they found it destroyed by fire and their wives and sons and daughters taken captive. 4 So David and his men wept aloud until they had no strength left to weep. 5 David’s two wives had been captured—Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail, the widow of Nabal of Carmel. 6 David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the Lord his God.
7 Then David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelek, “Bring me the ephod.” Abiathar brought it to him, 8 and David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them?”
“Pursue them,” he answered. “You will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue.”
3 جب داؤد اور اسکے آدمی صقلاج آئے تو انہوں نے شہر کو جلتا ہوا پایا ان کی بیویوں اور بچوں کو عمالیقیوں نے گرفتار کیا۔ 4 داؤد اور اسکی فوج کے دوسرے آدمی اس وقت تک بلند آواز سے روتے رہے جب تک کہ کمزوری کے سبب وہ رونے کے قابل نہ رہے۔ 5 عمالیقی داؤد کی دو بیویوں پر یزرعیل کی اخینوعم اور کرمل کے نا بال کی بیوہ ابیجیل کو لے گئے تھے۔
6 فوج کے تمام آدمی رنجیدہ تھے اور غصّہ میں تھے کیوں کہ ان کے بیٹے بیٹیوں کو قیدی بنا لیا گیا۔ وہ آدمی داؤد کو پتھروں سے مار ڈالنے کی بات کر رہے تھے۔اس بات سے داؤد بہت پریشان ہوا۔ لیکن داؤد نے خدا وند اپنے خدا میں طا قت پا ئی۔ 7 داؤد نے کاہن ابی یاتر سے کہا ، “ایفود لے آؤ” اور ابی یاتر داؤد کے پاس ایفود لے آیا۔”
8 تب داؤد نے خدا وند سے دعا کی ، “کیا میں ان لوگوں کا پیچھا کروں جو ہمارے خاندانوں کو لے گئے ہیں ؟ کیا میں انہیں پکڑوں ؟ ”
خدا وند نے جواب دیا ، “ان لوگوں کو پکڑو۔ تم لوگ ان لوگوں کو پکڑو گے۔ تم لوگ اپنے خاندان کو بچاؤ گے۔”
My point of view about above verses
David asked Lord should I pursue the people who took over their wives and children – God said pursue and you will overtake them
God cares and answers if we remain faithful
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
