David Defeats the Philistines
22 Once more the Philistines came up and spread out in the Valley of Rephaim; 23 so David inquired of the Lord, and he answered, “Do not go straight up, but circle around behind them and attack them in front of the poplar trees. 24 As soon as you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the poplar trees, move quickly, because that will mean the Lord has gone out in front of you to strike the Philistine army.” 25 So David did as the Lord commanded him, and he struck down the Philistines all the way from Gibeon to Gezer.
داؤد کا فلسطینیوں کے خلاف لڑنا
22 فلسطینی دوبارہ آئے اور رفائیم کی وادی میں ڈیرہ ڈالے۔
23 داؤد نے خداوند سے دعا کی۔ اس وقت خداوند نے داؤد سے کہا ، “ وہاں مت جا ؤ بلکہ فلسطینیوں کی فوج کے پیچھے جاؤ اور بلسان درختوں کے آگے جنگ لڑو۔ 24 بلسان کے درختوں کی چوٹی سے جنگ میں جاتے ہو ئے فلسطینیوں کی آواز سنوگے۔ تب تمہیں جلدی سے عمل کرنا چا ہئے کیونکہ اس وقت خداوند جا ئے گا اور تمہا رے لئے فلسطینیوں کو ہرا دے گا۔”
25 داؤد نے وہی کیا جو خداوند نے اس کو حکم دیا۔ اور اس نے فلسطینیوں کو شکست دی اس نے ان کا پیچھا کیا اور جبع سے جزرتک تمام راستوں پر ان کو مار ڈا لا۔
My point of view about above verses
When David has become king- he inquired God shall I attack the Philistines – will you deliver them into my hands – Lord said yes
When Philistines spread out in valley of Rephaim – David inquired from Lord shall I attack them – God told him don’t go straight but circle around and as you hear sound of marching in tops of popular tress, move quickly – because it mean Lord has gone out in front of you to strike the Philistine army.- So David did as God told him and struck down the Philistines
God cares and answers if we remain faithful - and He fights for us also and tells us how to fight even
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
