Elijah Announces a Great Drought
Now Elijah the Tishbite, from Tishbe in Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord, the God of Israel, lives, whom I serve, there will be neither dew nor rain in the next few years except at my word.”
Elijah Fed by Ravens
2 Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah: 3 “Leave here, turn eastward and hide in the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan. 4 You will drink from the brook, and I have directed the ravens to supply you with food there.”
ایلیاہ اور بارش کا نہ ہونا
17 ایلیاہ جلعاد کے شہر تشبی کا نبی تھا۔ ایلیاہ نے بادشاہ اخی اب سے کہا ، “میں خداوند اسرائیل کے خدا کی خدمت کرتا ہوں اس کی طاقت سے میں وعدہ کرتا ہوں کہ کو ئی شبنم یا بارش آئندہ چند سالوں میں نہیں گرے گی بارش صرف اسی وقت گرے گی اگر میں گِر نے کا حکم دوں۔”
2 تب خداوند نے ایلیاہ سے کہا ، 3 “ یہ جگہ چھوڑو اور مشرق کو جاؤ۔ کریت نالہ کے قریب چھپ جاؤ۔یہ نالہ یردن کے مشرق میں ہے۔ 4 تم اس ندی سے پانی پی سکتے ہو۔ میں کوّؤں کو حکم دیا ہوں کہ تمہارے لئے اس جگہ غذا لائیں۔”
My point of view about above verses
God told Elijah to go eastward and hide in Kerith Ravine, east of Jordan – you will drink from the brook and raven will supply you food
Its God only Who is provider
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
